Besides the hilarious headline of it outselling xbox in Spain I really don't see the point. Might be some interesting figures if/when they turn it into a streaming device rather than just a remote play device.
Should we bring this Judge guy on as a mod here? With a name like that, he sounds very qualified. /S
My opinion is that it will eventually be able to stream directly from the cloud, without the need for a PS5, so this would actually make it a separate hardware "platform".

Someone on the other thread was saying the chip is good enough to play stuff locally and cloud streaming from PS+ (not remote play) so I'm guessing Sony have a keikaku for the device or they know it will get cracked full of 3rd-party emulators

There may be no directly accessible storage, but it HAS TO have some amount of flash storage onboard from the OS it runs.
Can you use Remote Play on any other controller?
