Well, redfall delivered 60fpsgate and it was real. But I’m sure the bots are planning some stuff to downplay the showcase and they’ll end up frustrated when ps5 keep breaking records after records. Someday they’ll realize doesn’t matter how they flock to social media and forums, people aren’t buying consoles because of randoms online.
I researched a bit about it, seems Cory took a vacation after GoW 2018 and pitched it to Sony, who I assume approved it. Add there around 6 years and there's a H2 2024 release aprox.
Which makes it very likely to be announced in the show, and I bet that as the best candidate to close the show if the new Bungie IP (which could get its own event) doesn't close it.
After DG, its post launch content and PC port Bend did work with ND in TLOU Online and an Uncharted spinoff for some time. They only worked on the new IP for around 2 years ago, according to Jason Schreier since March 2021.

I don't think they're announcing hardware or software updates at the show. Those seem more like tweet and blog announcements that would drop on a random day to me. The only one of those that could show up is TLOU online.
I thought so too tbh. As far as that title goes, surely it's time by now? I'll be super annoyed if it's not there.
Do we know how far Ballistic Moons Bates is towards a reveal? I am interested in that game too.
I have no idea there. There's also the Summer Games Fest by Geoff Keighley, which Sony is supposed to be at. I'm curious if Sony decided to hold anything back for that.

You are going to absolutely love the show.
I can see you there cheering on each segment, i would not be surprised if the event makes your burst out crying.
One of the reasons of waiting as much as possible to show gameplay, until a few months before release it's that at this point the game is mostly done, in the stage of tweaks and bugfixing. In that stage, the game will look the same as the final game, so there won't be changes/possible downgrades.
The studio was founded in 2019 and this is their first game, so it has been 4 years in the works. Consider that AAA games take often 5-6 years of work, in a few cases a bit more specially those who had the covid lockdowns in the middle or when as in this case it's a new IP or the first game of the studio. I assume it will take 6-7 years, so I'd expect a 2025-2026 release. So I think it's more likely that they'll wait a year or two before announcing it.
