In the ideal world there would be no need to talk about Xbox or Gamepass.
There is no war to be had, Xbox doesn't compete with PlayStation and Gamepass clearly can't compete with PS+.
Shortages have artificially given the Xbox a second wind but as always it will go nowhere and the cracks are already starting to show, their main product, Gamepass look like crap in comparison to PS+. At some point it will become too obvious even for those in denial.

- Xbox = 50-60 million
- PC = ~120 million
- xCloud users = 500 million
- Total GP install base = 670+ million users
- GP subscribers = 25 million
- Attach rate = 3.73% (lol)

2. Nintendo Online has 33 million subs.
3. Gamepass has only 25 million subs.
If Gamepass is the "best deal in gaming" why is it limping behind in the last position?
PS+ includes all the tiers, so you have to include all the Xbox tiers too. Gamepass has 25 million and XLG has 16 million (estimate by Ampere). Massively overperforming both Playstation and Nintendo when accounting for the install bases. The best deal in gaming is easily number 1 already and it will only keep growing.

We know that XBL has over 100 million MAU. MS doesn't release specific numbers, so even if only one quarter of those 100 MAU are Gold subscribers, and that's putting it a very generously low number to compensate, that would still put GP + XBLG at over 50 million.

50 is indeed bigger than 41. Xbox is still massively overperforming, or Playstation is underperforming, however you want to frame it.
Adamsapple is sad because the GP attach rate is abysmal when considering the reach. GP has the biggest user base potential and it's dead last. Poor MS.
