Helldivers 2 is a huge success because of steam. 75% of the player base is there.
Why wouldn't Sony accelerate that plan?
If Helldivers 2 was PS5 exclusive, would it have shifted consoles or died in a corner?

Most stats that i can find are Europe figures only not worldwide and that is 60% not 75% so how you came to the 75% number id love to see the sales split info

I made that thread and tht was only European market. Devs initially said it was close to 50/50 but I'm sure it light be 60/40 but 75% I doubt tht extremely. PS players are lapping this game up just like PC gamers are.

That number is not accurate, Helldivers 2 is still #1 on PSN, it might be selling more on PS5 at this point.

It was top preorder and top Seller on PSN UK and US. Tht number definitely isn't correct.

Not to mention PS5 version is still in the top 100 sellers list on Amazon, the Steam version left the Amazon top sellers list ages ago. Helldivers 2 may actually have more legs on PS5 then PC.

I think some misunderstand and think I'm having a dig at Sony and PS5.
If Helldivers is as good as the reviews say it is, then it should have been console exclusive, even if timed.

For argument sake, we say 60% of the players are on playstation, Sony have still lost a potential 40% to PC Vs giving customers an 'incentive' to pick up a PS5.

Basically, either the game is good enough to be console exclusive and would have pushed more console sales, or, the game isn't good enough to be exclusive to a console and needs to launch on PC to justify the recoup costs.
