Switch to ARM then, even better. Worked wonders for Apple, anything but AMD.....and don't let Xbox copy you again
uhh the new Apple Silicon Macs can game just fine, so that's incorrect. The M1 Pro/M2 Macs can play Resident Evil Village at 4k max settings with Raytracing locked 60fps with no sweat. Death Stranding, Psychonauts 2, Warhammer3, CYBERPUNK 2077(!!!) and many other games as well, not to mention NINTENDO SWITCH EMULATION! If Apple's half assed port solution works, imagine a dedicated effort by an actual gaming company!
If you actually look at apples performance. It isn't great. They hide behind performance per watt and then gaslight you into thinking that their chips actually outperform x86.
There's no free lunch. M1max has like twice the transistors of a 3090ti, but doesn't get anywhere near the performance. It's just a bigger chip running slower.
That's incorrect, go look at my other comment. Apple gaming performance has been AMAZING, especially considering there hasn't really been any serious effort, games are running over several translation layers and STILL running great.
And mentioning that it has twice the transistors of a 3090ti is disingenuous and irrelevant when you fail to mention that it also uses 1/10th the power.....
It perfectly makes my point; it has twice the transistors of the 3090ti running at a lower power to get less than the performance of a 3060.
The performance isn't amazing at all. For less money you can get 4x the performance on a PC.
Not to mention there is literally no point in gaming on a mac. With the closed ecosystem you might as well just use a console.

3060? You really have no idea what you're talking about, or you're one of those anti Apple guys. Its on 3090 level in some cases....and again that's with Apple doing the absolute bare minimum, a concerted effort would blow Nvidia and AMD out of the water, and no I'm not kidding. There is a point in gaming on Mac, the operating system is 1000x better than Windows. If it could game properly, I wouldn't bother with Windows anymore.
we already have that issue pretty much, look through any gaming store (psn, switch, xbox, steam) and it's filled with a ton of junk....
RE village runs at 130 fps on 1080p medium settings on M2 Max. It's not blowing anything out of the water. It's barely better than a $500 Playstation.
Apple's MO is doing the bare minimum except for marketing and gaslighting.
Mac is a trash OS too. The only thing it has going for it is bash is native. You'd be better off just running KDE and a mac like theme. Like sweet or nordic.
Or are you one of those people that can't differentiate between the actual OS and the GUI? Windows GUI is much better than Macs IMO, but that is a personal preference thing.
Windows is surprisingly nice for how much legacy stuff is still there. Better than throwing everything out every 5 years like on mac.
Nvidia is a motherfucker when it comes to pricing. They burned bridges with MS in the 6th gen, and sony in the 7th. I wonder how much better Nintendo is fairing.

Nintendo at start got a massice number of old stock of Tegra X1 that nVidia couldn't sell anymore (they had no product selling with the chip anymore).
With Makino the things could have become pricey.
