Great third party games for the most part.
I wasn't too gone on the Capcom game, truth be told. With that and that fucking dinosaur game, Capcom is okaying some mid shit.

Inxile's game was the best first party showing and should have been the one last thing at the end of the show.

After Redfall and Greenberg's in engine shite pr, Xbox needed to show gameplay for a good deal of the First Party games. Open goal with the mid Sony show.

Also I thought the World Premiere shite died already, why is the tacky shit back? Decent show but mainly on the back of third party showings.

Great third party showing. MS still has a lot of work to do on the 1st party side.

Avowed look like crap and Hellblade 2 didn't show any gameplay. Starfield looks better than what we saw last year so I'll give them that.

Outside of Starfield, I still don't think they've shown any games that will capture everyone's imagination. A lot is riding on that game being good.

I gave it a 6/10 for now. I thought there was some neat stuff but the lack of gameplay in a lot of it kind of turned me off.
Good
-Avowed - looked like a lot of fun
-Dungeons of Hinterberg - Cool artstyle and the game looked interesting
-Path of the Goddess - Looked really good, the gameplay looked fun and it seems like an interesting idea
-Metaphor - From the Persona team so I'll probably enjoy it and it looks good.
-Persona Remake - Looks like a nice upgrade and the game as always is really good.
-Starfield - 100% getting this day 1 looks amazing.

I thought some other games looked of like the Clockwork but again no release date, The Star Wars game looked cool but Ubisoft is making it so we will see, and some of the indies added in there looked ok but nothing I felt I had to run out and get.

Fable was incredibly disappointing imo it's been almost 2 years since we've seen this game and they literally didn't show any game play, systems or anything and same with Hellblade 2 I'm glad the game has a cave and a puddle I guess it would have been better to not even show it at all.

I had low expectations but even I’m shocked how bad that was. Fable wasn’t gameplay and hellblade was a cutscene. Avowed looked rough and everything else was filler and dlc. Icing on the cake is the Series S getting a price hike, not a price cut.

I gave it a 3 because Starfield improved from last year but that’s probably because it’s running on a 3080 with 60 gigs of vram. I guarantee it won’t look like that on the Series x and it will be 30 fps.

The lack of outrage for the Series S price shows how biased the media is when it comes to protecting Microsoft.

Imagine if it was Sony trying to pass a hardware like the Series S for $349. Completely insulting. Sony get absolutely no credit for the $399 PS5 DE while the narrative that the Series S is great value somehow still exists (despite being rejected by the public).

I gave it a 7, versus Sony's 8. I dunno, Starfield led the way but other than that were there any 2023 games here? Lots of CGI too and non-Gameplay too. Oh, Avowed was present, that one might be a sleeper. Other parts of the show were just a slog though, with back-to-back-to-back F76, TES:O, SoT and Cyberpunk DLCs announced. Other than Sea of Thieves those aren't even exclusives, lol.

Finished watching the entire stream now, used Jaffe's stream.

I would give about the same.... a 6 seems fair. Jaffe said 8 but I think that is way too high.

8 for me would be all the games they showed but with gameplay segments.

There were no big surprises for me or bombas, so it could never reach a 9 or 10.

Without gameplay and with so much cgi, it is better than PS5 showcase, which I gave a 4..... so 6 is about right.

Helldivers 2? Spiderman 2? Synapse? Ffxvi?
All right, but apart from the sanitation, the medicine, education, wine, public order, irrigation, roads, a fresh water system, and public health, what have the Romans ever done for us?

With the way the gen is going, Xbox needed at least an 8 and had they shown gameplay sections in more first party games it would have hit an 8. It stills feels like Xbox haven't learned from their mistakes. Maybe too much was locked in before the Redfall debacle and what they learned from Redfall will show in later shows. Their trailer teams are fucking brutal, gameplay is king.

I think the thing is the games they needed to show gameplay are simply aren't ready to do so. That's why they said no more 12 month timeline.

2 out 10. Mediocre shit that makes the PS Showcase look good by comparison and that's not a good thing. Not good for consumers at the very least. Corps do like low standards however.... less work for same/more.
