Very interesting to see people who loved concord are downplaying RE4 OG and RE4 remake. I don't think there are any correlation between the two but maybe in 17 years Capcom can remake Resident Evil 4 Remake for the concord audience:

I dont think theres a direct connection between the hate lol. Some people just dont like RE4. Its a turning point for the series, and alot of people blame RE5/6 because of what RE4 did.
I also like Concord, but I like RE4 lol. Its not my favourite RE and I have my controversial opinions about iy. But I dont think theres a purpose attack vs RE4 from Concord fans lol.
Mr Multiplayer just said compared to Days Gone they need to do something. In reality they dont need to do anything. And he’s not a Concord fan.
RE is doing great again since RE7, both scores, sales and fan love. The worse thing that could happen to them is having a CEO thinking they need to move to 20million units per release because other because of games like Days Gone/TLOU having high sales quickly

Not only that but Day's Gone came out about 7 years after Uncharted: Golden Abyss which probably nearly sunk Sony Bends like other PS Vita failures did to other Sony Studios like Bigbig Studios, Sony Liverpool, and Zipper Interactive.
The last time Capcom closed down a studio was in 2018. over 6 years ago.

Manchester studio - 2020
Almost every team at Japan Studio except for asobi - 2021
pixelopus - 2023
London Studio - 2024
and unfortunately Firewalk will probably be next as sad as it is to see more employees go.
and even more unfortunately on top of that Sony laid off 900 people earlier this year and Bungie has been missing their targets lately this year.
Sony is the one that need to learn from Capcom and Nintendo who have been thriving the past three years while Sony has been canning game after game and we have yet to see new games from Naughty Dog and Sony bend. Also Blue Points only game this gen was a remake of a PS3 game.

RE8 Village
RE4 Oculus VR
RE:Verse
RE4 Remake
They have found a way to consistently pump out high quality RE titles while other parts of Capcom can work on stuff like DMC V, Monster Hunter World Iceborne, Rise, Wilds, Dragon's Dogma 2, Exoprimal, Street Fighter VI, Ghost and Goblins and more while we are waiting 6 to 7 years just for a game from Sony Bends.

again very impressive for a new IP but the thought that "Capcom needs tro figure something out" when their past 3 remakes are some of their best selling games in the Resident Evil franchise is absurd. Not only will Resident Evil 4 Remake be past 9 million by 2027 (To be fair RE4 remake is on Xbox Series, and Mac/iPhone and might even come to switch 2.) Cool, i didnt see that. Its just a couple of threads I see you commenting about Concord, Im like is there something happening between the 2?
I never agreed with Capcom needing to copy Days Gone or Sony. Like I said, only greedy CEO’s would want change for RE. The series is doing fine and doenst need too much change. Just dont cut content from remakes like RE3 and when they finally do CV, RE0 and RE1 again.
Nintendo is doing amazing but no1 can copy them and would be silly. Nintendo is making games that run on Wii U, thats a tech from close to 15 years back. Neither Capcom, Sony or Xbox have that privilege. Nintendo found success and their market from survival, Sony has never had an issue selling home consoles, whereas Nintendo has, even with its loyal fans.
But yes, Sony could take some pages out of Capcom’s game development and remakes. Bluepoint could of remade another game like Ico by now if they worked with the same people who helped them remake SOTC and Demons Souls. They probably could of released 2 as it took them 2 years to release SOTC and Demons Souls.
So yeah, I agree RE doesnt need much to change. Thats why I said the worse thing they could do is have CEO’s, who want TLOU numbers. They finally got back into a good grove with RE7/RE8 and the remakes.
Im not a Days Gone fan at all, and I think the sales were because of very loyal PS fans like myself. In my opinion the game doesnt deserve better numbers than Bloodborne, AW2 for example or Returnal. But thats my personal opinion.
