Yes, in the Capcom leaked roadmap document after SF6, Exoprimal, Pragmata, Dragon's Dogma 2, a new Onimusha and Monster Hunter 6 there was planned a project codenamed "Bio Hazard Apocalypse".
But this name is a codename, in the same way that the Village DLC appeared in the document codenamed as "Bio Hazard Outrage" (mistranslated by the leaker as Resident Evil Outbreak), or Pragmata appears codenamed as "Regolith", or Exoprimal appears codenamed as "Shield".
Seems that again, as when some fan said that "Resident Evil Outbreak" was coming after watching the leak and even included in the Nvidia database, another fan thought that "Resident Evil Apocalypse" was going to be the real name of the next RE game, which pretty likely will be RE9 unless they want to make another spinoff, multiplayer game or something like that before.
Wait! Isn't the team working on Pragmata after village ? The 2nd team just released RE4 remake. The DMC team is working on Dragon's Dogma. Who's working on this fucking game? The RE3 remake team?
They are busy with a lot of games. They have basically two divisions: one where they make Monster Hunter, the fighting games and retro games. And the other one where they make everything else. Many people move from a project to another as needed, even between these two divisions, and they also have many external outsourcing studios helping in all projects.
RE2R had two game directors, and RE3R had three. Only one of them worked on both, the other ones didn't release a new game. Village was directed by another guy, a REVII designer. None of them is the REVII director, who hasn't been credited in any game since REVII. RE2R and RE3R had two art directors each. One of them repeated in Village, the other one on its DLC. Village had a different one. REVII had 3 art directors: one is the lead level designer of Village, other one (previously RE6 art director) later was a Village concept artist and the other one became Senior Project Manager in RE2R, RE3R and Capcom Arcade Stadium.
I don't know if any of them worked in RE4, its game credits still aren't uploaded to mobygames.
Some of the people under them, like game designers or artists worked on games like DMC5, Capcom Arcade Stadium, RE Village or Monster Hunter Rise or World. There isn't a clear pattern, they aren't split in separate tracks: seems that when someone is done working in a game moves to another game who needs someone in that role independently of almost everything.
