Acquire released 7 games this year alone.
And only 1 of them on Xbox.

I'm wagering they will cancel all remaining Xbox versions once acquired. Must be satisfying to read all that shit about spending Sony out of business and Phil trying to make Xbox's problems the industry's problems and then yank support from Microsoft as they sit there impotently, praying PlayStation continues to prop up their retail sales (82% share of CoD wow)

Future IPs have speculative value and in my opinion should not be on balance sheets. How do you value say, a new JRPG concept that wasn't produced or sold yet?
Not only future IPs: old/existing IPs aren't in the balance sheets either. Because you can't assign a specific certain amount of money in value to an IP and things you can do or not with it in the future.

When valuating a company for setting the price of an acquisition is different: they make an estimate.

He's been more positive on Sony lately, not sure if it's because there's greater Japanese presence in SIE top management lately, or if he's just a fan of the top mgmt's current moves.
There isn't a greater Japanese presence in SIE's top management and has been absolutely no change on SIE's strategy.

Acquire released 7 games this year alone.
wtf! seven games in a year? This is insane, people in this studio must be about to die because they are barely around 120 people.

From an accounting perspective, the deciding factor is usually whether your organization created the IP, or acquired it.

Generally speaking, IP would fall under acquired intangible assets, if you purchased the rights.

like 90% sure this gets signed, most important part for me is FROM going to SIE. Imagine them with a SIE first party glow up.... and their next title will technically be their first current gen game, if Sony's hands are on it I think we'll see quite the jump for FROM.

Xbots and PCMR: "The bugs and stutters in Elden Ring were part of its charm and character. Elden Ring 2 running at a flawless 60 FPS illustrates how Sony's technical expertise has turned FromSoft into a sterile, souless studio."

That's a lot of games

Most are Japanese games based in the zillions or publishing IPs they have.

Some even reaches western market like the visual novel…

Bischoff’s deal fell thru because AOL Time Warner didn’t want to have nitro on their networks. No tv deal made it worthless. Vince also had negotiated first bid for wcw if ever on sale when he sued them for Scott Hall and Kevin Nash jumping over and kinda referencing their previous characters.

AOL Time Warner kinda merger kinda created the future we’re living in. Ted had passion… and we seen what cnn turned into since then.
WWE had already tried off the backs of the court win, and been denied by Viacom at picking up shows on a rival network/timeslot. It was Turner's new programming boss then clearing the TV block that allowed McMahon to pick it up. Funny, that.

A signed letter of intent, or even a press conference announcing an in-process sale means fuck all until all the ink has dried.
