And it was always RPGs that were developed by Japanese developers.

Gran Turismo is a racing game developed by Japanese Developers... there are few racing games made by Japanese Developers so that sub division didn't happen (like Japanese racing).

The rumored M&A targets aren't that expensive. Plus there is always tzw possibility to adjust/increase the budgets for strategic purchases. Sony will get a big chunk of money when they sell of their bank and financial services in 2025.

Good point. I feel like sony is kind of boxed out in movie side of things seeing as how there are not that many mid sized movie studios left. Maybe WB sells off assets? But other than some unicorn event, i would assume most of Sony's M &A budget will be for gaming and back catalogs of musicians?

I've seen posts mentioning that this will be even "worse than ABK" on fami and era. Being against it I understand, but t's the fact that many of them championed the ABK merger so they just look like hypocrites.

The entire narrative and lore of Elden Ring was written by a Western dude! George R. R. Martin. It's basically a Game of Thrones with High-Fantasy as setting. Again Elden Ring is not a JRPG. It's mimicing an WRPG which was developed by a Japanese studio.

I called them hypocrites in that same thread and was surprised that I'm not banned yet, and all they could say was response: nice avatar because I have a PlayStation logo avatar.

All I said was if you were a cheerleader for the ABK deal, you shouldn't be in this thread complaining about consolidation.
