Huge chunks of what? Somebody posted a chart for manga industry and Kado was like 1%. In anime, Bandai is way bigger, nobody thinks of Kadokawa when they think anime.

There must be a mole inside Sony purposefully sabotaging these deals. Also think: why does an American outlet know about a deeply Japanese acquisition?
It wouldn't surprise me if it's someone of the PlayStation California employees doing so. Probably purple hair color...The same happened with Square Enix in 2022, when the rumours surfaced and then you know the end of the line.... Let's hope this isn't a deal breaker.
Yeah. The guy made a good point about insider trading. It doesn’t matter how many followers he had, it’s a good point. There’s a reason why deals rarely leak. Because it usually kills deals. We just found out this was before Kadokawa made their statement. So that’s why he deleted the tweet. Lol Still a good point though.

some of you seriously need to take a break from culture wars. this is as looney as it gets, it's gotten to the point where you blame every little issue you have on those who think differently than you.
Well Kadokawa doesnt have much American or western interests so FCC and EU is out of picture, All Sony needs to do is bribe 2-3 high profile diet members and push yen in apple boxes to them when they take them out to the omakase and teppanyaki dinners

I was looking at the stock price, i thought it the same, it could have been inside trading or somebody created this situation. People who invested before, sells now, rake huge profits.
