With most people's gaming libraries already built, switches are so unlikely...As it will cost you more to build an equivalent PC to the series S for the same money. Different business models. What matters is how much is the difference.
The most important cost as always is switching costs.
Did you have 2tb SSD in there? My Pro equivalent setup on pcpartpicker, if I take Richard’s comment about the 4070, came to a total of $1416.57.
It has 32GB of RAM, though, so subtract $20 to make it comparable to the 16 GB of RAM in the Pro.
Of course, I buy all new parts. I'm lazy about hunting for deals, and I don’t buy used.
Yep. A Samsung 980 Pro with 2TB. Total for that was $206. I can find better deals somewhere else, but again, I was lazy.Did you have 2tb SSD in there?
The 4070 is nearly 500 pounds and over in UK and Ireland, so it would be more expensive overall here too.
It's a good price to be fair but even if they were equal, I'd go for PS5 pro.Yep. A Samsung 980 Pro with 2TB. Total for that was $206. I can find better deals somewhere else, but again, I was lazy.
Most people don't want the hassle or have the time to price hunt like a typical PCMR zealot. Of course anyone could do it, but there's a lot of people who'd rather just go for the Pro for simplicity's sake or to save time and effortIt's a good price to be fair but even if they were equal, I'd go for PS5 pro.
Y'all know that though.
