Some potential backstory about the rumor from 2022
Meanwhile, their old IP Halo doesn’t matter anymore, and never will again!
They weren’t going to be forced to make exclusives, but with what a shitshow developing for Xbox is, can you blame them if they were to decide against porting to it?
The Sony merger seemed contingent on Bungie maintaining a high degree of independence, so if they ever make an exclusive, it'll probably be because of technology more than anything else. At the very least, it will be their decision.
Maybe some different interpretation?
They talked about their games that for me is what they have today, the community they build… not future games.
From what aí understand new projects were meant to be PlayStation exclusives with PC late… Xbox is out of the equation.

It'll be shocking and disappointing if they're not working on Destiny for VR2.
It seems this is the project which was years before the buyout in active development. Looks like this one will be on Xbox too.
I hope the destiny engine gets a significant upgrade. Bungies art style is not enough to make up for that last gen engine going into the PS5
Why even bother releasing on xbox when they don't even buy games?
