Acceptable, not every remake needs to be as ambitious as the FFVII "Remake" trilogy.

If I was Sony I wouldn't pay much for it to be exclusive, Xbox is dead and everyone already expects a PC port anyway. If SE wants to waste their time porting to Xbox or exposing their game to piracy on PC let them.

i think 8 started dividing the fanbase, i remember the discourse around that game was very heated with a bunch of people thinking it sucked and ruined ff and the others thinking it was amazing

I like 8 equally as 9...

Theyre both amazing..

I like the characters in 9 more but story is better in 8 particularly on the ending is very bittersweet..

The kids in here who start gaming on ps3 or ps4 will never knew the magic....

Depends, this might be a simple remaster-level project. Sony didn't block the FF1-6 pixel remasters from going multiplat.

If they redid the rooms to be rendered in real time, with better details... characters, cinematics, etc. but kept the same point of view (or something very similar) I would be extremely pleased.
