We must’ve not played the same games lmao. NO ONE remembers Poseidon, and we BARELY remember Zeus. Odin was 1000x better than any Greek god. And if you think he was poorly used you must’ve not been paying attention at all….
He is was poorly used in the game.
And Poseidon is still the best GoW battle ever created… anybody that played the games will always talk about him.

You can go in any list of more memorable boss battles in GoW... Poseidon will always be in the TOP3.
That is how amazing it is.

Compare with what SM did with Odin and Thor 🤷‍♂️
You guys are really used to low level.

How can you say no one remembers Poseidon when his boss fight is literally top 5 most iconic moments in the franchise and constantly hailed as one of the best game openers.

Its a cool opening but terrible boss fight in terms of gameplay

I agree that characters did not have enough time do develop. Thor especially. They crammed 2 games into one and it shows.
As for the boss fights, Odin and Thor (the fight with Thor at the end) were lame, while Poseidon was very memorable as a boss fight. And Chronos, Zeus, The Sisters of Fate (forgot if that is how they are really called), Ares etc. The last two games definitelly do not have that factor of boss grandeur like the older titles. The fight with Baldur at the start of GOW 2018 was really cool and the one at the end where Freya animates that Giant (Talmur?) to try and stop the fight between Kratos, Atreas and Baldur.

I dunno what you guys even want from gaming if you disliked Ragnarok
WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD
The story was rushed. Freya's bro (cannot even remember the dudes name that is how memorable he was) unites factions that have been at odds for centuries in a matter of moments, off screen mind you. Sif calls for Thor to kill Atreus (before he narrowly escapes) and in the next scene, which happens soon thereafter is like:" It's fiiiiine, let's go kill Odin."
The ending was a narrow corridor arena with two underwhelming fights at the end (Thor and Odin).
Ragnarok was a joke, you do not fight him he loops endlessly in the background fighting Thor. He is there just to kill Freyas brother (which was supposed to be sad I guess?).
Atreas is sad when he sees innocents killed at the end and Kratos does a complete 180 and says that he should accept what he feels (even though he has been teaching him to "close his heart to it" the entire time).
The few characters (the two dark/light elf lovers, the big Traveler Champion were so irrelevant, that I do not know why they were even put in the game.

EDIT: Just because I do not have endless praise for the game solely, does not mean that I do not like it.

The battle was Meh, he looks cool bht that's about it. The Baldur fight in 2018 was better

I really feel like the whole dark vs light elf substory was building to something, in 2018 after we defeat the leader he says we chose the wrong side or something.

I was so disappointed that it all amounted to nothing on screen

Forgot about that, I agree.

I enjoyed Ragnarok for what it was. Narratively people seemed to want more from the third act. I wasn’t think that at all at that point … my only real criticism was the Atreus portions and their related gameplay. It was just not fun and out of place. So much so if this was an Atreus spin-off I might just be like… nah I’m good

The person said nobody remembers Poseidon... It is false. It's one of the most memorable and iconic moments of the franchise.

It's no worse than the Odin fight.

man it really isn't 😂🤣 I beat GoW 3 several times and when I think back on that game, Poseidon is not what comes to mind! To each their own though I guess.

That being said the Heimdall fight is my new favorite in the series!!!!

I wasn't aware YOUR opinion was the only thing that mattered when it comes to what is considered memorable for the God of War franchise 💀.

I'm obviously not gonna spend time posting countless links and videos to back up the fact many do consider it one of the most memorable boss moments of the franchise... It's all out there to aggregate.

Chill, if you want to believe that it's fine. But ask any GoW fan about memorable moments.... I GUARANTEE you 90% will not mention Poseidon

That is your opinion and it doesn’t change the fact that Poseidon is still considered one of the peak moments in GoW franchise.

Everybody remembers it.

Now Odin… well lol.
