Sea of Thieves is the currently the best selling Preordered game on PSN U.S. & also possibly in many European countries where Preorders look strong.

They have no choice, it's common sense they cannot survive with their strategy. Even before any sales number of 3rd party they decided to do this out of necessity.
Easily see Sea of Thieves selling 10m+ life time on PlayStation 5. Game is going to be pretty big.

We'll see. Vast majority of console owners are casuals and they want to play games with their friends. Sea of Thieves is perfect in this regard. Also, there's no other true pirate games out there. Skull & Bones is a disaster and people are going back to Black Flag to get their pirate fix.
