No1 is calling him a lord & saviour, but ignoring the fact he’s helped direct 3 amazing GOTY winning games doesnt make sense. You cant take that away from him.

In the last 4 years Naughty Dog shown and released:
  • TLOU2 (released)
  • Ucharted Legacy of Thieves Collection (PS5, released)
  • Uncharted Legacy of Thieves Collection (PC, released)
  • TLOU Pârt 1 (PS5, released)
  • TLOU Part 1 (PC, released)
In addition to:
  • TLOU Online (teased)
  • Multiple games more under development, at least one being a new SP game (mentioned)
  • Uncharted movie (released, sequel confirmed)
  • TLOU tv show (season 1 released, working on season 2)
  • Uncharted theme park ride (released)
  • TLOU theme park event (released)
AAA games nowadays take at least 5-8 years of development.

We don't know since when they have multiple development teams.

Until 2019 other than TLOU2 SP+MP they had small teams supporting/overviewing TLOU1 (leaded by Sony VASG) and an Uncharted spinoff on very early stages (Bend, who also supported ND with TLOU Online). Later Legacy of Thieves Collection (Iron Galaxy) and now apparently TLOU2 Remastered.

Factions for TLOU2 was cancelled to don't delay TLOU2 more. Instead they'll make a standalone, full sized MP game that will be their largest game ever.
