Outside of TLOU what GAAS games is sony making that are having trouble?

Why are people acting like they’ve been dropping flops before we even know what the majority of these games are
The deviation game got cancelled, also twisted metal was rumored to have been scheduled to release with the show. Also technically not 1st party but they had the partnership with Suicide Squad that was disastrous when shown

The funniest part is that all of the Xbox fanboys that will no doubt be making videos about this didn't even know who she was last week, but will be trying to convince everyone that PlayStation is burning to the ground and doomed without her. Xbox can't look good unless PlayStation is made to look bad.

I would love for one of them to try to explain a single thing she actually did. They know her job title and that's it but none of them will actually be able to tell you a single thing she did during her time at Sony

Well, there is definitely truth to what you wrote but at the same time I can respect she was a part of PlayStation from the start.

What I find amazing is that she survived the PS3...if she was fired, it is bizarre.
to be fair, Jim Ryan has also been part of PlayStation from the start (he started in 1994 a year before the PS1 launched)

Are we under the assumption that single player games don’t get cancelled at Sony? Because we have a mountain of evidence from PS4 that says that isn’t true.

I think almost every major studio had a cancelled game or development trouble last gen

I think almost every major studio had a cancelled game or development trouble last gen.

Sucker Punch had a game cancelled that was well into development. It took them 7 years to make GOT.

Bend put out a major flop

Santa Monica had a major game cancelled, half the studio laid off

Naught Dog was plagued with crunch and one major departure after another

Guerrilla had a major game scrapped in favor of Horizon, thats after Shadowfall flopped

Japan Studio was one major flop after another along with a ton of other development trouble

Evolution Studios shuttered

London Studio has been MIA since Blood & Truth in 2019

Multiple major failures early in the gen, Killzone Shadowfall, The Order, Driveclub, etc.

I’m sure there are countless more examples im missing or not even aware of on top of all that.

But now im supposed to believe its complete and utter turmoil at SIE because a couple of Multiplayer/live-service games got delayed or cancelled?

Some of you are really gullible 😂

Good for her she had a long career at Sony.

We have no idea what she was working on and what she was doing exactly so it's hard to know if it means anything 🤷

TLOU Online was delayed, which doesn't mean having trouble. It's something very common in game development.

As a handful of recent examples, GoWR, Zelda ToTK and Baldur's Gate 3 were also delayed.

The deviation game got cancelled,
also twisted metal was rumored to have been scheduled to release with the show.
Zero credible sources back this, as in the case of TLOU Online.

TLOU is clearly the project people keep referring to when they keep dooming about their GAAS push being in trouble. We literally don’t know of anything else so thats the only example i can even use.

The rest of it is conjecture, people are referring to projects that don’t even have names that they saw on linkedin profiles

TLOU Online being in trouble is also a conjeture.

As far as we know, a couple testers were fired maybe (or maybe not) due to its delay, that's all. No solid fact leads to think this game is in trouble.

Druckmann said they were going to show something of this game this year but when people saw that it didn't appear in the showcase and complained ND backpedaled and said that they decided that the game needed more time so they weren't going to show it for a while, and that they continue working on it in addition to other unannounced games (at least one of them being a new SP game).

Meaning, the game -or at least its first reveal- was delayed.

Yeah I'm taking a wait and see approach.

More than one person is responsible for the brand PlayStation is today. People like Scott Rohde is still there.

PlayStation is a well oiled matching at this point. It’ll take a MS executive working at PS to fuck it up.

What an absolute shame, she helped build this gaming empire and was used as a fall-guy for others incompetence and decisions.

I really hope justice is done or at least karma sorts this situation out if it did transpire as we have heard.
A lot of folks have helped build the PS empire and are no longer around, yet the brand grew even bigger.
The point is the brand is significantly bigger than just 1 single person.
All relationships run their courses eventually, then people move on, its gonna happen to the next guy and guy after that, so on.

Funny you say that cause it took the SIE rejects to go over to MS and fuck up XB. One of them even convinced Google to let him run their gaming division and that turned out as good as one would expect.
Dude launched PS1 and PS2 and have literally not been successful since. Goes to show, its not the person but rather the team that Sony have assembled that makes it work.
Sony is not getting rid of you unless you are a total fuck up that cost them money, Booth must have caused sie harm in some kind of way. But im just guessing.

With a statement like that, and nothing coming from her directly she had to have been let go.
