What of any real positive value has MS brought to console gaming?
Isn’t Nintendo competition enough for Sony?
MS is already the world’s biggest software company. On that merit ALONE they should not have been allowed to buy Activision, the biggest games-only software company in the world. MS has screwed gamers worse than anyone since NES-era Nintendo, so why is them buying another publisher preferable to Apple buying them?

Dont forget the 5-10% charge that distributors take, and another ~10%+ for retail
No hall effect sticks, they look a little easier to replace than on the standard dualsense but not nearly as easy as on the edge. They should've definitely put some of the edge features on there

I had a friend complain about TLOU2 remaster being released 4 years after its original release...
And I said so many games from previous gens get remastered quicker Including TLOU1.

That would of been a great selling point for me.
Especially if they included all the PS1/PS2/PSP games from the Vita and PS3 stores. ( Yes despite not sharing the same tech, Vita had all those games PS3 had too)
Add an SD card slot for extra memory. Sony could of made some money selling those PS1/PS2/PSP games digitally on PS5/Portal

Good example. Sony is forbidden to make sequels, remasters or GAAS. It's always met with pushback and ridicule.
You can also compare the outrage when the PS5 price hike was announced or the PS+ price increase. It was extremely violent.
PSVR2, Dualsense Edge and Portal were constantly getting shit on. Meta Quest and SteamDeck are right there and it's nothing but praise. How curious.

The media dont want Sony to make a Gaas incase they get a hit like Fortnite. Im not much of a Gaas or mobile player (zero on the mobile side) but a successful title from that will be so much money for PS

But I still want that E3 level show every year, I think the 2013-2017/2018 E3 shows were a huge boost to PS, Brand power and its fan
They really should foster a community though, it's a double edged sword not fostering a positive online community.
They use to have one when they had their fantastic forum up until 2016.

2: Don't listen to "fans". Sony and Nintendo "hate fans" that is why they are keep getting sucessful. Listening to "fans" is digging your own grave.
Never said they should "listen" to fans. I said they should foster a community, that doesn't mean we need to see execs conversing with fans.
I mention the forum because we use to have a great official Playstation forum where all exclusives had their own dedicated forum / community and our accounts were our PSN ID so it didn't allow random toxic trolls to join easily.
Developers also could communicate with actual people who were playing their games and it allowed Playstation to get accesa to their base without the drivel.
I use to get to play matches with Naughty Dog devs and we even helped them to come up with ideas towards the multiplayer and stuff.
I think the writing is on the wall that this device, at some stage, will eventually have Cloud streaming and act as a standalone.
The problem with treating it as an accessory right now is that we'll lose the data (mixed with other accessories) when the aforementioned change eventually happens. Then our comparison points will be all off.
I think that's why Circana is (rightly) counting it as a console. So even if 4-5 years later, Sony announces a Portal v2 Pro OLED with Cloud Streaming enabled, they can compare it 1:1 with PS Portal's sales data.
