His retarded anti-Sony FUD, half thruths and lies are so retarded that I think would be a good fit for Bloomberg.
From my perspective it's just numbers. Xbox is collapsing, yet the PS5 is behind the PS4 in sales. Why did Sony fail in converting the xbots to Playstation?
Sony isn't failing to convert them, Sony is increasing their market share. The analyist is making ultra cherry picking.
PS5 is ahead of any PS console (and in most cases any console in history) in total revenue, total profit, active userbase, hardware revenue, software revenue, amount of games sold, accesory revenue, subscription revenue, off-PS revenue, average money spent per user and more things I may forget.
Regarding hardware sales, in terms of units they are ahead of PS4 in USA and Japan. It's only Europe where they are a bit behind behind in units makes the worldwide units sold number to stay under PS4. In any case, this year they sold 21M units, which even if not reaching their original target it's a ton of units.
If they aren't way ahead of PS4 is because they had important shortages and weren't able to price cut the console and instead had to increase its price because the prices of making it highy grow instead of reducing over time as happened in previous generations. This, combined with a huge inflation in EU and people's economy struggling made them to be under PS4 in some EU countries.
And well, another reason is that there are still several dozens of millions of users still happy with their PS4 generating money for Sony there. A record amount of people at this point of its life cycle. People which will continue migrating to PS5 (or maybe some directly to PS6) over time.
