Yeah, I watched it too and honestly, I don't think he could ever like the game because he clearly went into it looking for things to criticize. Then you have easily influenced people like @Nym see the video and cling onto it.

What im trying to say is, the combat in this game is exceptional. If you suck at it, thats a skill issue.

Whatever makes you feel better man. You don't see me crying that other people enjoy the game. I went in looking to enjoy this and combat constantly felt like shit and is surrounded by modern slop game design I'm just done with this shit. Getting my $100 CDN (LMAO) back and probably buying Helldivers

Something more in the vein of a DMC or a Bayonetta in terms of game pacing. I am getting highly resentful of games that waste my time. Took a chance, didn't enjoy it, oh well.

Just wanted to dig up this thread to say I'm probably in the last 15% of this game and I'm having a blast.

It's not without its problems. Way too many of the side-quests are the "I got there and he was already dead" type.
The English voice acting isn't great either, perhaps because the Korean expressions and humor aren't translating properly either. Eve is voiced by the same actress as Baldur's Gate 3 Alfira so it's not like she isn't capable of more.
Graphics are a bit hit and miss. While sometimes they do awe, when we're exploring looking for that extra upgrade or suit we'll often notice some very low-polygon rock formations doing 90º angles that take the immersion away. Same thing with textures. This is a problem with UE4 that should be solved when everyone just adopts UE5.

Gameplay mechanics however are a blast IMO. Instead of the usual block/dodge + hit that the souls-likes got us used to, the damage that we inflict on the later hits in long combos is a lot higher compared to the first. So if we do only single hits we'll take a long time to kill small and medium-sized enemies, but if we can land a large combo we can kill larger enemies quite fast. This also makes fighting groups really hard and that's why they seem to have left enemy groups for the later parts of the game. Platforming is also nice after we get dashing and double-jump.

The story.. I think it's quite deep, deeper than most would imagine, and it's a fun take on human evolution, cyborgs, androids, etc.. I don't want to say anything more than this because I'd easily spoil it.
