It is pretty retarded to take any conclussions with CCUs just a few hours after the game is released. This thread should be merged -and some other recent nonsensical ones- into the 'sony is doomed' thread.
This is how it works, on release you have a peak and on the weekend you will have a slightly higher peak than you had at launch. There's no saving this shit.

No the thread should have stayed so the numbers could be updated like EVERY other game that's gotten a thread here about Steam numbers. You guys simply don't want to face reality

How sad that the mod sided with Yurinka. We had many CCU threads before. All the message boards do.

I feel like I wasted my time doing a thread. Fuck this shit.
You should know by now this site flip flops on everything. We had daily threads about Concord numbers here for 2 weeks, why can't this game have a Steam numbers thread

A.I... got a victory today

I have no ideia why you guys give so much attention to Steam... PlayStation games won't sell there... they don't like it.
Plus it requires PSN that is the biggest sin in human history.

Lego games was made to sell on PS5 and Switch... they are games focused in family and their kids... something the typical Steam player won't buy.
Like R&C and Sackboy Big Adventure being amazing games did not found audience there.

You can see how well Lego Harry Potter did there.

Even the best seller Lego games like LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga that sold 5 million in 4 months in 20222 only crossed 1 million sales on Steam tacking 2024 as base.

I think family games might have a harder time of it on Steam, because the concept of it as a shared platform hasn't really been adopted yet. I think they'd like to go in this direction, with the launch of Steam Family (which is honestly GOAT, I suggest everyone set one up or join one).

It helps to get around the issue of not wanting to just flat out share one's account with their kids, at the risk of them finding Sex with Hitler 3 in the library.

Because there are people on this very forum who take offense to others who says PS5 games shouldn't be on PC... So why can't PS5 gamers shine a light on PC numbers? Tit for tat!

You wanna speak about expanding the brand and growth, well let people also show what the growth really looks like.

Well some games did sell very well on PC but all of them where more aligned with Steam audience.
It is not like no Sony's game sold millions on Steam.

Expecting to a Lego game put Steam on fire is really a bit out of place.
Even more a mediocre Lego game.

The real battlefield for Lego Horizon is PS5 and Switch... if it fails thee then it means real failure.
If they success there then it won't matter what Steam think about the game.

Because we PlayStation gamers are getting shittier products due to multiplatform development and we are being told that it's all for the profits and the MAUs Sony gains by shitting on their customer base.

Yet everytime a game flops it's excuses:
- it's an old game
- it requires a PSN link
- it's a remaster no one asked for
- it's too expensive
- it's a kids game
- just wait for the show/movie/sale/Santa Claus
- it's free money in a decade

I understand that.

Do you think Ragnarok will sell well or fail on Steam?

Lego Horizon is finally out and it's another massive flop for Sony on PC. We all saw this coming but Sony is completely oblivious at the damage they did to their studios and IPs with their dumb PC strategy.

Where is the promised growth? Horizon 1 and 2 are on PC so the brand should be growing.

Hermen Hulst listened to Ozempic Phil and followed him into the abyss.

You still dunno why the first few batches of PS releases sold well on PC then it seems... It had nothing to do with aligning with steam audiences... Explain why Horizon Forbidden West and Ragnarok both flopped then?

They sold well because of the elsusiveness of PS games. They were seen as a rarity and PC gamers were happy to finally get droplets from PlayStation after begging for years.

Sony jumped the gun and flooded the market, now they know they will get everything and they can also steal the games for free.
