Starfield isn't a flop at 85/85 on OpenCritic. Though I can't personally get into the game. And Forspoken may not have done well at OpenCritic, but the game is much better than the 67 that it scored IMO. It's actually a really fun game, and I would love a second one. I am not a panel expert or judge, so I don't know if Forspoken would be worthy of a GOTY nomination. But the ones that were nominated seem pretty darn good. I never played RE4. Zelda TotK nor Mario Wonder. But from what I hear, they are great.

The expectations for both games were significantly higher. If the next GTA comes out and scores an 85 on mc no one will be debating whether or not its a flop. It would have done something tragically wrong to get that low of a score compared to the other games in the series.

Since there is no MS game or PC exclusive I think PC and Xbox fanboys will vote the multiplatform game with more chances to win: BG3.

This year Nintendo has two games from their two favorite IPs, so Nintendo fanboys will split their vote.

4 of the 6 games are playable on PS, one if exclusive and the other one had a sort of exclusive. I don't think they'll focus on the main exclusive as usual (in this case Spider-Man 2) but instead will distribute more their votes more specially going to BG3.

So I think BG3 will win.

I don't think these guys know much about gaming or the industry in general outside of false talking points that paint Xbox as the victim and PlayStation as the villain.

Most Xbots were around for that, they are just in denial of reality and repeat the party line that Xbox, for whom the term "moneyhat" was coined, never paid for all the exclusives they bought to try to kill PlayStation in the 360 era, or all the marketing deals that led to shit like COD DLC being held back for a month on PS and the GTA IV DLC being delayed for PS3 for a full year and Rockstar not even being allowed to acknowledge they'd come to PS3 until a few months before their releases on the platform.

That's really the worst part of it, the blatant dishonesty of Xbox marketing and the complicity of those they buy off. The fanboys are only aping the behaviour of their beloved Phil.

These guys are lunatics, the game awards went out of their way to give a participation trophy to his Philness last year... Now, for a gamer to show himself with a PS controller these days is like the default (or a Switch controller). Having an xbox controller in hand is just weird at this time.

Yup, I remember those E3 presentations where Sony would have three clear categories of exclusives "exclusive = true exclusivity, timed exclusive = money had to hold the game from other consoles for some time, console exclusive = the game is on PC but not other consoles" .... and MS only had "exclusives", trying to fool people into buying their console on mis-representation.
