It is more for new buyers… I don’t think they aim for rebuyers… they already did that with TLOU Remaster.

Yes. You can do more gameplay/combat wise, it feels better and is more visceral and brutal. I wasn't a fan of the story whatsoever but the combat and gameplay is excellent in my opinion and is what made me see the game through.
As for Part I, I expected more to be honest.

this franchise is gutter oil and needs to be shitcanned ASAP, if ND wants to seriously make games in this industry moving forward.

If I were them, I'd distance myself from TLOU2 ASAP. Apologize for it. Make amends. it's going to be too late once this TLOU1 remaster comes out and under-delivers.
TLOU2 already did 1/2 the first game sales and that is confirmed. Downwards trajectory. Soon this series won't get funding from Sony. It's dying and rightfully so.

2. I don't know why people keep comparing TLOU 2's 2 year sales to TLOU 1's 6 year sales. The majority of TLOU Remaster sales were bundles.
3. The remake can sell a portion of what the original sold and be highly successful.
4. TLOU Fraction Standalone MP will probably be the most successful TLOU game by far.
It looks so damn good. I will buy it when it's on sale for 69.99
Can't agree, except animation, and somewhat better gameplay, 1st one way better for me. But we are comparing 7 years old game. Tlou was way more ground braking in 2013 then 2nd game in 2020.
Its not a remaster, it's a remake.
And some changes to gameplay may not be implemented due to game design. Disappointing nonetheless but if your play area is designed for a certain type of gameplay features, adding different features may change the experience for the worst (game becomes easier, some mechanics could become less useful, etc).
Without seeing gameplay I can't comment more though.
Classic wait for PS+ Extra game. They're obivously trying to hook new audiences who will watch the HBO show.

Sure it divides opinions, i have some good friends on this forum that hate it and love it at the same time, but to make it out like it is garbage, sounds a bit extreme.
Weapon feedback, and overall how visceral you can be in the game is insane. Blowing peoples legs off as they scream to other team mates is unnerving.
Combat options alone along with better mo-cap animations feels better than max payne 3 and to me max payne 3 is the goat for shooting/Movement.
Didnt ND release some prior statement about expanded level traversal/exploration and tlou2 movement mechanics?
I thought, after seeing newer models hooked up into cutscenes, and putting work into rejigging level design, that it'd be trivial to change/add extra story cutscenes?

1. It kinda was, after being taken from Bend/Visual Arts Development support team. ND could have been making Savage Starlight for half a gen+ at this point, if they'd left TLOU P1 to Bend/VAD Studio back then, as they'd probably leave TLOU2 Def. Ed and eventual PC port to Nixxes now.
2. I think people compare TLOU2's quick af dropoff in sales. Like a bad movie, everyone wants to see/react to the car crash scene on stream, but the movie was crap, it only gets the opening weekend hype. It's fleeting exposure for the sake of shocking people, instead of repeat fandom for a good product. I'm meaning how the story/pacing/political/copyright takedown notice choices all hampered the games sales/word of mouth.
