Japan studios is probably even better now that they'll most likely work on more Astro games
Japan Studio didn't die. It got downsized, changed their leadership and has happened before in USA en Europe, moved their 2nd party publishing team to a separate studio to don't have to report to a local gamedev studio, and to let that studio focus on their own games.Japan Studio died for your sins :'(
I don't remember where, but they mentioned that Team Asobi is working on a game that isn't an Astro games. Team Asobi already had a lot of teams who worked in many other previous Japan Studio game like Graviy Rush, The Last Guardian, Puppeteer and manu more when they started to work in game like Astro's Playroom. After the studio got restructured more devs from the other Japan Studio teams joined Team Asobi.

- God of War = 3rd person fantasy melee Metroidvania
- Spider-Man = 3rd person open-world super-hero action game

- TLOU = 3rd person narrative linear shooting game.
