It's $70? I thought it was $40?

Surely must be $40 I even remember them mentioning that at some point. Or is it $40 in the US but 70 euros (which would seemingly make it almost $80 USD)?

EDIT: Just looked it up; it's $60 in the US. Kind of crazy considering Astro Bot was the same price but offers a lot more content (going by completion times to 100% everything).

Not that I think a game should be priced depending on how much content it has; that's part of the reason some of these AAA games seem to take so long to make nowadays (usually to their detriment). But LEGO Horizon is probably gonna have a hard time convincing some people it's worth the same price of admission as Astro Bot.

Yeah, I can't justify it... It doesn't appeal to me tbh. That price is ludicrous for what it seems to be.

Lego Horizon Adventure should be $40. Sony is out of their minds if they believe people will buy this for $60 on PC/PlayStation.

Doesn't matter much if the game is fun and it gives you the urge to replay it. The "how long to beat" mentality in game design has to go.

You could beat a scenario of RE2 in 90 min once you knew what you were doing and it was so fun I ended up replaying a dozen times.

I also don't love the "how long to beat" mentality to gaming, because I feel like it incentivizes game bloat.

Fallout 1 could be beat in ten minutes. Two worlds could be beat by baiting the main boss and running to town, the first town you walk out of.

A good game is a good game, be it 2 hours or 200 hours.

The order situation really felt like a hit job. think the press back the talking points against the game didn't even make sense.

You nailed it. It really did feel like a hit job. The Microsoft-owned press came out to kill the game because it was a successful single player experience and MS and EA were pushing multiplayer, hard. Set of dicks.

Sony shouldn't have killed RAD and should buy them back. $400 million wasted on concord but not a penny on RAD? Bad decision.

Yeah but it took you a LOT of replays of RE2 in order to do 90-minute runs. So in total you might've already put in 20+ hours to get to that point, especially if you aren't using guides (talking about OG RE2 here).

Most games these days aren't designed with Normal difficulties that make you "get good" to master them. That type of design mentality mostly died out many years ago, unfortunately. People expect to actually finish their games so games aren't designed expecting players to take months to master them. And I doubt LEGO Horizon will be an exception to that rule.

They must be really banking on the appeal of the Horizon IP combined with LEGO's own. We'll see how that works out for them.

Oh, that's interesting.

So about 60 euro, if it's 50 pounds.... Which compares to the 80 euro they want for Lego Horizon.


That's a 20 euro premium up. Quite the ask imo

As someone who rated The Order: 1886 a good 7.0/10, it has issues beyond the short run time which didn't apply to me as it took me 12-14 hours to complete. The issues with the game had to do more with all the boss fights being bad, a few chapters just being cut scenes and it having black bars on the top and bottom of the screen didn't help matters especially during gameplay/combat because enemies in the background especially those in an elevated position, you couldn't shoot at until you moved up closer. So while I always wanted a sequel especially since it ends on a cliffhanger, it was like Ryse: Son of Rome for Xbox One, a visual technical showcase. It wasn't meant to be an amazing game. It was meant to show you what the console was capable of.
