After President Donald Trump was bloodied and escorted offstage by Secret Service after an incident at his Pennsylvania rally Saturday, the Florida political world took to social media to offer the former president their well wishes and condemn what looked to be political violence.

As of 6:45 p.m., details about the incident were still coming in. But reactions came fast and furious.

absolutely crazy.

Looking at some sites like CNN, they are saying he might have fallen, and that is what caused the injury.

I watched a video where you can cleary see him grabbing his ear + there were sounds, gunshot I guess?

I think the Bullet his his ear or he might have cut his ear when falling to protect himself, i'm clining towards the first option

Yep, this will galvanize his base.

The base was more-or-less already galvanized. This will push more independents toward him because it's just further proof of the things he's been saying for years about the way the system is being used against him and how the opposition is riling up their supporters toward violence.

I'm in agreement that this basically sealed the election in his favor, assuming there isn't another attempt that ends up successful.

It seems 7 shots were made. Trump's ear was grazed, one person took a bullet to the head and died, another person is in the intensive care.
The shooter was killed on sight, he was at the top of one of the nearby buildings.

assuming there isn't another attempt that ends up successful.

A successful attempt on Trump will probably mean a bunch of 2nd amendment proponents becoming convinced it's time to make literal use of the 2nd amendment.
It would not be pretty.

No doubt. I live in deep red rural Oklahoma and I know more than a few people who are just itching for a reason to go off. I don't agree with their zeal for a fight, but I doubt they're the only ones.

Absolutely insane. Does anyone else feel like this is just the beginning of the madness that's gonna engulf America this year?

I don’t think New York City can survive Biden any longer.

Worst I’ve seen this country in my lifetime.

It is absolutely wild to think about how different this country would be had Trump's head been just a few millimeters where it was. The amount of civil unrest would probably be enough to bring this country to a full on civil war

Remember when people drank bleach & people were saying trump told them to do it ...

Yep, this is the problem with a lot of the media.

I can't remember her name. I think it was a clip from a news site called Msbnc. There was a lady on it named Joy Read or something like that.

She was like, Trump is a threat to democracy; something needs to be DONE!

This was a clip a few weeks ago, and at the time, I thought to myself, that's extremely dangerous to be using wording or phrases like that; it's almost conditioning people to do something.

People are so mad over politics these days; cult behaviour and tribalism stop people from seeing common sense. Its so sad people just can't seem to talk to each other.
