Piracy, PC usually only sells games with heavy online elements that can't be pirated.PC game sales is lower than I expected. Hogwarts Legacy sold 1.7 million on console but only 220k on PC.
Except some exceptions consoles always sells way more than PC.PC game sales is lower than I expected. Hogwarts Legacy sold 1.7 million on console but only 220k on PC.
Now imagine working in AAA game for several years to put day one on Gamepass…UK
Skyrim : 1.138.000 units
Fallout 4 : 1.126.000
Starfield : 142.000
Gamepass effect
yes, there would be no AAA games if not consoles. PC would kill any decent high quality game.Except some exceptions consoles always sells way more than PC.
Even the more tradicional PC only developers have to move to consoles to recover the cost of their games.yes, there would be no AAA games if not consoles. PC would kill any decent high quality game.
exceptions doesn't makes the rule. PCMR always makes these disingenuous claims with these extremes.Even the more tradicional PC only developers have to move to consoles to recover the cost of their games.
PC sales only doesn't cut AAA dev costs.
Of course there are always exceptions but in general you don't see more a big developer being PC only.
BTW people hates how Rockstar do their releases but they know better than anybody how to make money with games... they saw that consoles is where it sells games at full price while PC people like to wait to buy games.
So they always release first on console to make PC ports late.
And sells gazillions.
Rockstar was a PC focused developer before PS2.
Yeah, it kills me sometimes.exceptions doesn't makes the rule. PCMR always makes these disingenuous claims with these extremes.
That's AI stuff, or at least the PR fluff surrounding it back in November when it was announced leaned heavily into that (about putting the UK at the forefront of what's happening in that space blah, blah). Hopefully it's not like the Nissan EV deals where they're effectively being bunged hard to make it happen, IIRC that one was a face-off between UK and Spain to see who could cut their own throat the deepest to "win" the deal.To @Jim Ryan
i was just watching the budget in the uk, if i recall correctly they said that Microsoft just invested 3 billion pounds into data centres in the UK.
No idea the details beyond that, but a nice invest for the UK regardless, especially in the wake of how tipid global economy is.
