That’s not really that great. There were far fewer Switch systems out there at launch than now, so not quite double the copies sold at launch is not the greatest attach rate for the release window.

One day I'm going to buy a Nintendo console and play zelda to see what all the hype is about. One day.
A LOT of nostalgia and brand loyalty.
If the same game was released by anyone else, it wouldn't be that much praised. And I really did enjoy the previous one.
Great numbers! Switch physical sales are always higher than other platforms and Hogwarts was only on PS5 on launch (xbox physical too but those numbers are so low they are irrelevant).
Remember folks we were assured this won't happen due to it being a DLC for the BoTW.
Glad single player games are selling well so the industry just doesn't focus on Gaas stuff.
Truth be told nintendo could ship a turd with Zelda on the cover and it would break records, same as pokemon. Says nothing about the quality of the games.
Don’t break your neck rushing. All the Zelda games after the first two are massively overrated.

I've never owned any Nintendo console (Sega fanboy for lyf) or played any zelda. I'll wait for the remasters.
You know there's other places other than here right, do yourself a favor and go out and venture to other worlds like the crazy world of Twitter, filled with toxic fanboys and exciting arguments of fanboys comparing the *bleep* sizes and arguing over sales and Metacritic scores.

Nintendo success is non-threatening. Don't understand the fixation on that. The ship where they are held to PS standards and compete directly sailed decades ago - Nintendo got trounced badly. As long as Xbox is PS direct competitor, Nintendo will wisely play at the margins and get away with murder. No problem with that as long as they continue to be a bulkwark of the traditional model. Plus they do an essential service for Sony - that is groom casuals and kids into the console culture of the traditional model. Last thing we need is another American corp taking a page out of MS busting in with grand ideas to fuck with the model.

Understandable that Zelda TOK would have a much higher opening. I mean, launch install base vs. instalbase 6 years later
