Install base… they did that with % drop from Remake.Where did you get the first week digital sales numbers?

If FF7 flops I will be heartbroken. It's so much better than the first installment...and if it flops we'll never see any more ambitious jRPG remake projects.
It won't. JRPGs like FF, Persona, Tales series, etc.. don't need to sell God of War Ragnarok numbers to become profitable. The sales of this genre tend to always fall within a threshold of 1 to 7 million. Most will sell 1 million to 2 million and immediately recoup its cost back. No doubt JRPG has its audience but it's a genre that is still being skip on by many.If FF7 flops I will be heartbroken. I just want people to play it, it's an amazing game and I want Square to see that people appreciate and reward all the effort they put inIt won't. That's speculative guesswork and just as likely to be incorrectInstall base… they did that with % drop from Remake.
It is based in the actual % confirmed by Chris that has the data. That's speculative guesswork and just as likely to be incorrect
That's still incorrect, PC sales are 100% digital while these guys only know physical sales on PS from retailers but missing PS store data for digital purchases made on PlayStation. Only Sony knows that data and share them once in a while out of the blue if there's a benchmark or a record broken. So no, those numbers are PC digital and not representative of total digital sales. It is based in the actual % confirmed by Chris that has the data.
BTW I make a mistake in my post… physical is 46k and not 42k.
Week 1
Physical: 46.6k
Digital: 33k
Week 2
Physical: 4.6k
BTW digital ratio is confirmed to be lower than FFXVI digital ratio that was around 50%.
The truth Physical still is strong in UK even when Xbots tried to push the narrative it was irrelevant

Said that for HD2. They may glean PS Store data in relation as in in a ratio but they don't get the precise data, whomever it is, GFK, NPD etc. They all calculate digital sales based in relation to physical sales that they track through retailers and based on consumer reports (which are not also 100% correct). None of those is coming from the horse's mouth so to speak, so they may be incorrect unless Sony provides a number for digital releases. For Rebirth, digital numbers are even more of a guesswork since there's no PC digital numbers they can base off of, which are also guesswork to begin with. Look at any steam db game page and you will see highly inconsistent base numbers, now why do you think that is???????
Rebirth didn't release on PC.
GFK give us the digital data that includes PS Store and in Rebirth case it is only PS Store (there is no digital outside PS Store).

Amen to that. Fuck those turdsI disagree completely, Helldivers 2 needs none of those artificial reasons for people to play. Just keep the game being as fun as it is right now.
Destiny and CoD are last games I would want Helldivers to take inspiration from.
Partners share digital sales data with GfK, it's not extrapolated or guesstimated based on anything else. If a company doesn't share, such as Nintendo, it's simply not included. Nothing fruity, no numberwang, just solid data. They may glean PS Store data in relation as in in a ratio but they don't get the precise data, whomever it is, GFK, NPD etc. They all calculate digital sales based in relation to physical sales that they track through retailers and based on consumer reports (which are not also 100% correct). Nope. Their charts specify physical/boxed release. They don't have weekly access to digital sales, contrary to what you say they extrapolate digital sales numbers from the physical release which they can actually track, that's why most charts they release have games sorting in top 5 or 10 in relation to each other.Partners share digital sales data with GfK, it's not extrapolated or guesstimated based on anything else. Again where exactly did you get digital #? Link the tweet please because only thing I could find as ratio is weekly comparison, and again you are extrapolating digital sale numbers based on a ratio with physical. Physical may have dropped in sales weekly but it says nothing for how digital sales may have gone, it could be opposite direction and an increase for all we know.It is based in the actual % confirmed by Chris that has the data.

We're in the monthly sales chart thread. Actual digital + physical sales data. No guessing. If you're talking about something else there's probably a better thread for it.Nope. I agree. What HD is doing is actually doing it better than any of those two imo and mp is way more fun. The only thing I think thy should take reference to is how Fortnite does it's events and Helldivers seems to be doing similar but on a smaller scale.I disagree completely, Helldivers 2 needs none of those artificial reasons for people to play. Just keep the game being as fun as it is right now.
