like most here predicted.

Xbox going massive down due Gamepass.
PS5 trying to save the day.
PC showing it insignificance for launch revenue.

The record on Steam narrative was very weird when there were a lot of * like CoD only entered in Steam in 2022 (it was a record between the worst seller CoD… plus the CoD launch now include several games not just BO6 while in the past not)... it is really a screwed comparison that shows nothing.

We knew Phil and Shatya used fake math, as usual, to celebrate "the biggest launch ever" 🤡

The thing is, Black Ops 6 SHOULD BE the biggest launch ever (sales wise) because it's on more platforms than ever and it's the main studio release from Treyarch.

In terms of players it is the biggest… just take that instead to buy it most Gamepass users logged to try it.

But it is a big drop in revenue for the franchise.

Just a shot here…

This shows exactly why Microsoft changed strategy to focus in being a 3rd-party publisher.

If they cut PS from their releases it should be so huge drop that could even lead the whole Xbox to closure…. imagine their games having 75% less revenue without PS.

What a time to live to see PlayStation saving Xbox from bankruptcy 😂😂😂

Putting a game like COD on gamepass is only going to hurt xbox in the long run, because the consumers think that even if the big call of duty can be given for "free" then they can expect any and all other games to be, too. Then spending will go down, and the games they want won't be on the service so then service subscriptions numbers will go down.

They already expect that…
Nobody buys games on Xbox for years already.

I have friends that waited years to play REmake 2 on Gamepass… and they call themselves RE fans lol

The only thing that happened was people who never bought CoD on xbox now played the campaign once, BLOPS 6 is nothing ground breaking when compared to MW2 and MW3 so I dont know where this asinine take of more people buying and playing CoD due to gamepass comes from.

These are very interesting… PS5 is up 30% but PS overall it is up just a bit over MW3 (that means most of 30% are move from PS4 to PS5) and of course down a lot compared to MW2.

MW2 PS: ~385k
MW3 PS: ~250k
BO6 PS: ~270k

Mostr prople buying games due Gamepass was one of the biggest lies Uncle Phil ever created.

It is not just impossible but makes no sense and defy logics.

Xbox fans coping hard dreaming about GP growth on the Xbox side, there’s no growth to be had there it’s tapped out. Putting the game on GP simply destroys sales on Xbox, it’s on PC where GP growth will be felt.
It is easy to show how much grow they need.

Xbox go from 112k to 37k..: these are 75k units at full price in UK alone… $5.25m lost in revenue in UK.

So without Playstation, Microsoft would have lost 74% revenue in the UK.

Sony must be happy right now. They're still getting the vast majority of COD sales but without having to spend money on marketing anymore.

And they don’t have to spend 50 to 100 million dollars marketing it.
Jim Ryan greatest victory during his messy Presidency. He almost took down Xbox as without that deal going through we'd probably be getting news of hardware discontinuation. But instead he forced them to go full 3rd party which pretty much is death by a thousand cuts instead.
