It's not clear how widespread this is or if it's yet another 'Sony bad' article from this particular media outlet. I'll wait for more information before getting worried.

If it's just a scheme, it's an extremely well-executed one. There's countless people who reports they have the same error when trying to logon to PSN.

Absolutely. I feel strongly about this; if this isn't fixed Sony should be held liable via class action lawsuit. If I buy something, it's MINE. Get your fucking corporate grubby hands off of it. If I do something wrong, sure ban me from your network. But what's mine is mine.

My account is finally working again. Thankfully. At least it is in the app and in the browser. I haven't checked my PS5 yet since I'm in bed.

Cat woke me up in the middle of the night here in the US to be fed, so decided to check on my PSN account status and yup, my ban is gone and I can login to my console and app just fine. Glad that was a relatively quick turnaround, although I am still going to be wanting even a simple explanation from Sony...

Well if you used a jailbroken ps4 for trophy hunting you should be sent to prison and be forbidden any access to interest for the rest of your life... As well as having your PSN account destroyed.

That being said, blocking accounts from using jailbroken devices to login to the service is fair game (that doesn't brick the ps4). Only if they can safely identify them.

Don't forget, everyone in prison has been falsely accused.

Nope! This needs to be addressed and Sony needs to make a statement instead of burying it. It could very well be a hack from a group or someone who's pissed at Sony for removing the Discovery content - and if that's the case, our creditcards may be for sale right now.

Edit: But Sony will probably not say anything - cause it's bad for business and holiday sales need to flow undisturbed.
