Damn. I was on GAF from 2006-2017. At some point, I joined Reset Era and got banned for saying something negative about a lunatic lady developer. I joined GAF again, but it turned to shit real soon because you could not say anything remotely negative about cult leader Spencer and his business model without a pack of rabid zealots jumping all over you.
I thought it was because we were all icons on GAF.

During the beginning of this gen GAF became an incredibly highly astroturfed forum with dozens of xbox evangelist shills ruining every conversation (and sony fans/fanboys countering them). At some point the mod team decided that they would start banning everyone for console warring, you could get permed for relatively innocent comments if a mod woke up on the wrong side of the bed. Funny enough some of the most prominent xbox shills only received temp bans. I suspect the mod team there fully bought into the idea of a gamepass future despite the constant shilling for it on that site, anyone who criticized the business model caught bans. I feel like a lot of the people who came to this site were refugees from that time.
This place went up when GAF was at the lowest point. It was like a Phil Spencer pornsite. They were so sure Xbox and GP were going to rule the world.

Hi. i lean towards Playstation games, but i am playing loads of other games too. i am ACreed, Diablo and Borderlands sucker, non are Playstation games
for me, it started around 2019, just before PS5 leaked info, signed up for NGaf, that's where i met @Old Gamer , @Bryank75, @Bo_Hazem, @Gamernyc78, TheLastWord and other Playstation brothers.
at the time, NGaf was very very Xbox leaning, shills were all over the site, making FUD, lies and spinning every bit of information.
Mod highly protected Spencer's name, xbox shills and overall The Message by them. you couldn't critic anything towards xbox anyhow, that was deemed to be console warring, but other way, no problem! Jim is shit, this and that, Playstation doom, sucks etc, you name worst things, it was posted and defended by die hard fans and shills.
Even worse happened when PS5 was revealed, oh man, the FUD, most ridiculous nonsense was thrown around. we even compiled the list of this nonsense ( @Sircaw do your job here, summon the List
). xbox shills and die hards create even Discord, where they coordinated and spread FUD and lies, in that discord were plenty of known names, like Buggaga. Playstation fans tried to resist, but that's when the Great Purge of Playstation Fans happened on Ngaf, that's where Green Rats was born.some of use got banned, some of us just got tired. me, i was summoned to Discord and we had our own Server. some of us known each other for the last 4-5 years and interact with each other on message boards often.
that's where all this Forum idea have started, and some of us, bravest, decided to fulfill that dream. a forum by gamers, who are truly are gamers. maybe forum is not perfect, as we are still only humans, but we strive that the place would be for gamers.
