Who here has a PC and a current gen console? How do you divide your time?

I will say that on pc it is really annoying for multiple input games, some games won't let you type with controller so if you want to text chat to teammates you have to put down the controller and use m+kb. Other times the game still sends input to the controller when you're using m+kb and it's annoying to have to turn off the controller or disconnect it.
Valve are the main/only ones making progress on these kinds of annoyances, which is why I stan them.

I'll only ever go full PC once physical games stop being made, until then, I'll always have a PS console even if 1st party games are day/date with PC.

PC do you mean notebooks?
Yeap I have 2 notebooks.

PC for me is too uncomfortable to play games.
I have to get my notebook, put it near the TV, plugin the HDMI, setup the resolution, etc etc.

With fixed PC (not mobile) should be even worst.
Imagine you having to take that big things from your office to living room with all the cables and stuffs lol

People you say but you can build a PC to keep in your living room.
Yeap but all the time to build a PC and configure it.
Is it not easier just buy a console?

if i ran around saying PS5 costs $2000, that would be foolish, right? It doesn't cost 4x the cost of a PS5 to get into PC gaming at all, and if you really "don't care about resolution or framerates", you can get into PC gaming more cheaply than a PS5.

PS5 is good though, go ahead and enjoy it.
You say this as if minimum spec requirements don’t exist. I buy my systems at launch as well, where the value is even greater.

I don’t want to have to research why some game is crashing all the time, why my game is running horribly compared to others, upgrade parts, or wait multiple years for mere ports. Correct me if I’m wrong but I also hear PC versions this gen haven’t even been up to snuff either. I can see why loads of people dig it, especially enthusiasts, but I’m not sure it’ll ever be for me.

Multiple viable options available to you:
1. Build a PC for the living room because it's worth it

Here's mine in the bottom right:

2. Buy a full sized desktop maybe like this one, hide it out of sight and run a long HDMI cord to the TV.

3. Buy a pre-made mini PC like this one:

or a more upgradeable alternative like this:

4. Dock a ROG Ally to your TV

5. Use Steam Remote Play on any low power PC, Android/Apple TV, or Raspberry PI:

Why not just a console and start to play?
That is my point.

Some can not brother with that but for me is not useful at all.

Why not just a console and start to play?

Consoles are too restrictive. I don't mind having to do the ocassional tweaking (which is blown WAY WAY out of proportion by console gamers btw) if it means I get to play the game the exact way I want or push itthe most that I can each time I buy new hardware.

I have seen folks modding consoles just to play games that don't have 60 fps patches like RDR2 That's crazy to me.

I understand that and I think it is really interesting to gamers taking it time to do that.
But I just really want to get home and play games.

I really can't see I ever playing games on PC again.
Even mobile is more turn on and play than PC.

These are the two platforms I like to play: mobile and consoles.

Maybe we are really too different to like the same things :D

Thanks all for your input. I think I'll get a Steam deck 2 next year or something equivalent. I know consoles will always be my goto but great points all around.
