$70 isn't a lot of money, if that's too much you simply need to find a more affordable hobby.

You expect developers to just work for free? This is a buisness not a charity. Development costs have skyrocketed with a lot of big games costing over 200 million to make with 5 year development times.

$70 gets you at least 35 hours of content, which is like $2 for every hour of entertainment. I say it's great value.
