He worked at Blizzard and the CEO is Mike Ybarra. Mike used to work with Phil Spencer so he knew everything behind-the-scenes. It was obvious but it's good to have confirmation.

Xbox "fans" online are completely disproportionate with the reality in the real world. Xbox has no mindshare and their sales are getting worse every month. It's a niche platform but online you would think they are at the top of the industry.

No kidding. They're vereywhere. For a platform in last place, it was funny from the start. MS also has the most astroturfers/shills on their payroll, both in the "casual" youtube scene and the actual industry.

That's why you see all this damage control from bigger youtubers and industry insiders as well.

It just makes sense, considering how much all of their speak reads like a script.

That post title took some time for my brain to process :ROFLMAO:
But what is the need for actual bots when these fans act like bots anyway, you see these warriors in almost every forum and discord channel, they can't but help make noise to show that xbox is still relevant.

They get more of them. The hardcore Xbox fanbase is small.

I was a tiny kid first joining the internet when I learned the word astro turfing. And it was in the context of Microsoft doing undercover marketing on forums and Reddit. they've been doing this for decades probably longer.

"Our weapons are psychological, economic and political" - Effective Evangelism, Microsoft Confidential, 1 of 4, paragraph 2.

This fits the guerilla marketing manual under "Evangelism is War". Psychological, economic weapon category.

We've known this. The more it gets discussed the better although it unfortunately dies out after whatever period of high MS activity in this regard phases out.

The Xbox Ambassador program was a great rebranding of many of the underhanded efforts of old. Like the National Endowment for Democracy (NED) covering what the CIA used to do covertly.

Yes, Grummz. Known has MARK KERN who
Controversy: allegedly Pre-sold a $10,000 kickstarter pledge tier to a backer who he then banned from the game.
Second: was removed as CEO include squandering over a million dollars on a promotional bus for the Firefall game, which never functioned correctly and is widely regarded as a significant blunder.
Three: He was known has being one of the issues behind blizzard before he left in 2006, bullying, etc.
Four: It's not the first time he's got himself involved on something that a lot of attention on social media, for some reason he thinks it can bring him fans.
Last thing you should be doing is taking him serious.
