So if there really is such pent up demand for Series X that supply is unable to keep up, what's Microsoft doing not ramping up production? Chip shortages are over my friend
Sending all to the cloud apparently.

Although i'd imagine they are regretting that now..... If there was any truth to it.

Supply chain issues...
Oh sure, sure... a 2 trillion dollar company can't figure it out when a company 1/20th their size can. Oh yeah, they also had fewer supply issues last year, did they magically develop amnesia on how to juice their supply chain?

Or perhaps retailers just refuse to take more product as the ones in the channel already don't move?

The fact that switch is even able to swap spots with PS5 in units sold despite being an ancient console speaks to the appeal of portables. They sell like hotcakes, and PlayStation needs to make a PSP Switch.

You say that like what I said isn't happening right now.

Did Series X start selling around PS5 on Amazon when stock came in? Yes.

Did Series X start selling around PS5 at Walmart .com when stock came in? Yes.

"So if there really is" it's not an if. In the reality some on this forum live in, Series X should not be doing the above at all since it has no demand. Unless PS5 has actually fallen to Xbox levels?

We know Microsoft has to save stock for the Diablo 4 bundle which is two weeks away. If that didn't exist we'd see a lot more Series X stock available today. The unsold Forza bundle stock would clear out if they were $499 standalone. We'll see how Xbox performs in the US come September. September 2021 is when Series S became mostly available and September 2022 is when PS5 also became way more available.

Maybe they don't have enough boxes (as in the packages) for the standalone console, so they "had to" sell the bundles?

Lol okay. So they're saving stock for the Diablo IV bundle, yet the Forza bundle is in stock everywhere. Interesting how Sony can manufacture and ship record-breaking numbers of PS5 both bundled and unbundled, but a 2 trillion dollar company has to "save up stock" for a bundle when they have plenty of units sitting unsold.

I also find it amusing how the Schrödingers console can both stuff the retail channel with an unwanted bundle and suffer from supply chain issues at the same time.

So ignore reality because you don't like it. 👍

The Diablo 4 bundle was announced back in March and is the first big game Xbox has marketing for in years. It probably has a lot of units prepared for launch. Will that sell well? Eh I'm not entirely convinced. I'd rather they stop doing those $559 bundles and just do the free pack in like last gen.

I would not be surprised at this point if Microsoft is only spending X amount on hardware production and doesn't want to increase it. For example, they only order enough materials for a year where they produce only ~10M consoles. We'll see how this plays out by the end of the year.

I’m sorry but people like you are so bitter. Lol

Maybe it sounded bitter, it wasn't meant like that.

We have 3 Switches in the house. Our first model (the OG) really had plastic around the vents and corners falling off it after a year.... it seems to be fixed on the new model more or less.

The statement about adult fans isn't meant to be an insult, they have lifelong dedicated fans.

Kinda reminds me of pretty much all last gen when certain folks kept arguing that the xb1 was going to close the sales gap with ps4 and ultimately outsell it at any moment.

Series X $499 is still in low supply at GameStop and Target, and Best Buy still has it listed as a "High Demand Product". The Series X is supply constrained and as seen by Walmart and Amazon, the weak as fuck Forza bundle is not what people want. Look at the God of War bundle after it went back to $559. People aren't buying it in the huge numbers they were the past few months.

I must be unlucky, everytime I look through US retailers I can find the Series X. It's the first console ever that's supply constrained while being available everywhere.

And bundles count, you trying to imply they don't is just a copy mechanism. The series X is not supply constrained, it's demand constrained.

So demand constrained that when the $499 Series X comes it stock it shoots up to where the PS5 is at 🙄 when the Forza bundle never did 🙄🙄🙄

Series X is supply constrained. The Forza bundle is a waste of money that gets tossed to the side as soon as the $499 is available. Get over it.

Edit: Fucking incredible. The Series X is sold out at Amazon, only sold by 3rd parties lmao

Get owned, haters. This console can't stay in stock at all.

Same, my local Walmart always has Xbox Series X consoles. The sales apologists and excuses in this thread are corny as fuck right now. lmao

My local Walmart only JUST shifted a Series X they've had for months. They've sold out of PS5's and their accessories three times in that same span,

I don't think there's a supply constraint at all, at least not for the same reasons the PS5 had one. Pretty sure they're just using most of the chips for server blades for their inevitable pivot away from hardware.

You can't be serious... still going on about Xbox being supply constrained because you want only a certain SKU that MS doesn't want to make available on all stores. I doubt you would be saying the same for PSVR2 id stores were not willing to keep a big stock of it.

Hilarious that your proof is to show it in stock.
