Divide these numbers and you'll get 2.82 as result, not 4

Yes, but PSVR2 renders at 4K resolution.

The exact resolution of the 4K tvs isn't the only resolution. 4K resolutions are those with around 4000 pixels in their horizontal axis, there are several 4K resolutions. PSVR2 has 4000 pixels horizontally, while the resolution of the 4K tvs have 3840 pixels.
My apologies, that was a typo. I meant 3x.

3x the resolution, 7x the price, 0x the games. What's not to love?🤣🤣🤣
No, remember it's just for developers..... Yet there first commercial was a guy, eating popcorn watching movies with it on, a mom calling her daughter with it and a guy in a kitchen player with a soccer ball talking to his daughter 🤣

It makes me wonder where the external battery is, or will be, if you're walking about. Will it be on a belt, on your back, on your wrist?

$3500 headset + $200 cable + $500 battery + $500 battery holder?
It would just go in your pocket as demoed. I assume the battery and cable come with it.

It’s also not primarily for gaming.. or even gaming focused.

I feel bad for everyone who isn't a developer, I guess only they can watch movies in vr, and no one else has kids they can call or talk to

Hopefully they are included, but if the battery is detachable from the cable, a replacement/spare battery is a must. Especially considering that this is for office work and cinema. Only being able to do 2 hours work or watch a film 2 hours or under is a bit shit.

We all know what apple are like when it comes to batteries.

I think I read that you're supposed to be able to plug them into the wall via an adapter too.

Apples great with batteries, it’s just they are expensive and limited innovation in the category. I largely agree for the need of a back up battery though. I’d imagine while watching a movie or something, you’d just plug it into the wall.

Either way, by gen 2 or 3 I’m sure the cost will go down and the battery life will improve.

Battery tech is limited by physics, in order to get beyond where we are now will require a revolution in materials science/engineering. Also cost, anything potentially better so far is way more expensive to produce than traditional battery tech.

Interesting regarding FOV

There is no border in the field of vision — your field of view through Vision Pro exactly matches what you see through your eyes without it. Most impressively, and uncannily, the field of view seemingly exactly matches what you see naturally. It's not even slightly wider angle, or even slightly more telephoto. There is no fisheye effect and no aberrations or distortion in your peripheral vision. What you see in front of your face exactly matches what your own eyes see when you lift the Vision Pro up over your eyes.

This isn't true btw according to ppl thst have tested it. This dude saw black in his peripheral and parts of the fov on the sides us obstructed like all Vr headsets obviously to a lesser degree..

"Apple wouldn’t say anything specific about its field of view this long before launch, but I definitely saw black in my peripheral vision. The Vision Pro is not as totally immersive as the marketing videos would have you believe"

Isn't the reviewer from the verge the one that almost strangled himself with the PSVR2 headset? and didn't one of their "tech" journalists do the worst PC build video a couple of years ago?

These guys make stuff up.

EDIT: he may have seen it, but I give them no credibility.

Not sure. Reports seem to conflict.
