Seems odd. If true, then yeah, only goes with my theory about what happened a few days ago about that report from CNBC.. These regulators won't do anything in the future and it's going to be a free-for-all.
Tom Warren, a known Microsoft shill and propagandist is saying the cma have agreed but the Bloomberg article that mentioned ms and abk wanting to use a third party didn’t mention the cma at all. I think this is another “say the cma agreed to something” pressure campaign so they have to come out again tomorrow to dismiss it. I feel like it’s a filing tactic to get the cult riled up and excited.

No one in the UK knows the cma is doing but Tom Warren does? Not even jez cordon?

Hmmm, I grew up with Xbox. It was my first console as a kid. And the 360 era was one of my favorite periods of gaming.
As someone who has owned just about everything, including what you're listing, I can say I highly, highly recommend checking out some other platforms. You're a fan of literally some of the worst gaming systems ever made. Maybe stuff like Jaguar is worse. If you just broadened your horizons a bit you might see how dumb this all looks.

Not at all my friend. Not at all. The OG Xbox was good. The 360 era was great. Xbox one era was underwhelming and pretty bad. This era is still going and things look good for Xbox. I had plenty of other systems in the past. PlayStation 2, Wii, GameCube etc

Nope. Guess everyone in favor of the deal is a "troll" and the people actually using their heads are a "troll." Never once said anything irrational
A game enthusiast being in favor of this is baffling, but then again, anyone being an Xbox fan is already baffling on it's own given how much and for how long Xbox has sucked.

The first Xbox was just ok. The 360 had a few good games in the first few years and degraded quickly. It was the last half of the 360 era I knew something was going wrong. And of course here we are after having experienced the "One" and now the XSX. It's a terrible track record and I can hardly think of a worse one.

Seriously, try other stuff. Don't limit yourself. If you only buy Xbox you just can't be a fan of gaming. You don't even know what you're missing. It's like saying you love food, but you only eat at McDonald's.

Just buy a Switch and become Nintendo evangelized.

At least it makes people become less insufferable than Xbot.

Looks like CMA has settled.

Laughable. The CMA doesn't work for Microsoft, if they were no longer blocking it they would say so. They don't wait for the US legal orders to time out. TRO only impacts it being approved in the US, no bearing on UK at all. More spin. Microsoft could announce they have resolved it with the CMA and will be closing once TRO expires if this was the case, instead only Tom Warren is reporting (much like King) that is has already been passed on there are no obstacles (despite consistently being wrong).

If you look at the Xbox and Xbox 360 they were objectively good. The only stinker they had was the Xbox one era. This current generation is still going so we have to let it play out. things are looking good.

I dont play video games on console. PC only. Nintendo games aren't for me. I buy some of the playstation titles when they get ported.

"Microsoft Corp. and Activision Blizzard Inc. are considering giving up some control of their cloud-gaming business in the UK as a way to appease regulators so they can complete their $69 billion merger by the July 18 deadline, according to people familiar with the matter"

per the bloomberg article. Coupled with the fact Tom Warren( well know journalist) said they already figured it out. This deal is 99.9 percent done.

The "giving up control" proposal is just a licensing scheme. I doubt the CMA would deem that sufficient.

And even if it was good enough for them, you left this part out.

"The software giant is re-engaging in talks with the UK Competition and Markets Authority, which had vetoed the deal in May. The CMA said Tuesday it’s prepared to evaluate proposals from Microsoft, but the agency also said the companies would need to resubmit their transaction for the normally multi-month regulatory process to begin anew."
