Aloy is a perfect example, she looks better in HZD than HFW where she starts sometimes looking like Nickacado Avacado. If they made a new Uncharted featuring any of the women from it before I guarantee they look worse than they did before. Returnal doesn't have a predecessor to compare but you can look at it as "what if Samus was less attractive and older?" lol, like look at Dina then compare her to the ACTUAL MODEL they used for her and you'll see what I mean. Even Ellie, she grew up into being Norman Reedus, it was so unnatural that in flashbacks to the first game in TLOU 2 they had to alter her looks as a 13 year old to match the poor way she aged.

This is observing a pattern, it's not about my actual standards for what a woman looks like, trust me Aloy could rock me anytime if she was real. I think it's just noticeable that "more detailed" seems to mean less attractive. Dark Souls actually had a similar issue, if you look at Dark Souls II character creator versus III, the third entry has a more detailed character but if you like playing as female characters, like I do, it's MUCH harder to make her attractive. Demon's Souls remake actually made this process far easier, sometimes advancement does make things better, other times worse. It's kinda like how the first 3D games were way uglier than the best of 2D.

2. Taking a single screen of somebody (Like the Aloy screenshot that went viral last year) and claiming they made her look bad purposefully and ignore just about every other shot in the game where she looked great is just comes off as radicalization.
Games becoming more realistic just mean like in real life if you were to take a photo of yourself during random times there are going to be unflattering ugly pics of you just like what will happen from time to time in games aiming for realistic graphics.

Not every game is going to aim for stylized graphics and not every change in gaming is because of a political agenda and man do I miss the 2000s when the most political things got on the internet were 9/11 and Bush memes. you couldn't make a game like Code Veronica or Mother 3 today and not get a shit storm online nowadays.

Also, they are going to lose their shit when Code Veronica gets remade and watch out for those that expose they don't know the original game when they start arguing it was turned..."wOkE" lol

Taylor is a millionaire artist that uses her image as a part of the product (music) she sells and probably lives an easy life. She has the money and people to help her look like she does. She's not a woman in a post apocalypse world.

Its not realism we complain about. Like yes they look more like real people now, but I perfer the character visual/art direction visual of the characters in PS4 Remastered . P1 Old Joel and Tess feel different. It's gonna take some getting used-to but at least they only look older. Less said about TLOU2/TLOU2 Flashback/P1 Ellie, the better.

Women in post apocalyptic scenarios would not look like super models lol
