No sales update on any other game besides GOW?
Yeah, I know. I am particularly interested in Ghost of Tsushima sales.
Also, at FY end I would really love to see how TLOU part 1 and TLOU2 are doing after the shows popularity.

great news, unlike xbox's numbers which were very worrying. PS5 should remain a healthy platform this generation, and 3rd party support, along with exclusives, should remain consistent.

20M first party sale. 11M from GoW so rest 9M for Horizon, GT7 and other exclusives.
62 digital, so Physical still going strong.
Overall, very impressive numbers.
Next Q also could be big, PSVR2, Dualsense Edge, Forspoken, GOW, Hogwarts Legacy etc..

this is GREAT NEWS! The numbers basically mean that it's very easy for Jim to nab more 3rd party exclusives moving forward. After seeing these numbers (PS UP +53% v XBOX DOWN -13%) Every publisher will prioritize dealings with Sony moving forward!
PS5 owners are going to be eating very well this generation!

Solid numbers. Pretty sure that drop in PS Plus subscribers will burn their heads for a while.
Still no game this gen has taken full advantage of the hardware and Sony's top 3 flagship studios in this regard (ND, SM, GG) have games way off in the horizon. Hoping Insomniac can take it to the next level with Spiderman.

PS5 had its best sales month in December and surpasses 30M consoles sold-through.
Sony Interactive Entertainment CEO Jim Ryan during Sony's CES 2023 showcase announced the PlayStation 5 has sold over 30 million units worldwide. Ryan also announced December was the biggest month ever for PlayStation 5 sales.

Sony sold 34M first-party titles in the first 9 months of the fiscal quarter. If we look for the full 12 months, which would include Q4'21, they sold 48.5M first-party titles. We know GoW sold 11M, so it's very likely that HFW sold at the very least 10M so far.
Insane numbers. If each game "nets" $30 on average after tax, retail and online-store fees (for games on steam), that's $1.46B on first-party titles alone.

The GoW sales include January, which is already Q4, right? Would mean that the "share" of the other games is a bit higher.
What a kick in the nuts to MS after their earnings report. May actually be beneficial to the Activision acquisition.
Also a healthy physical games market on the console, about 40%!

How? As far as I can see, the logical conclusion for anyone having a look at the results is:
1) Sub services are not moving the needle
2) Quality first party games lead to success
3) PlayStation releases more and better games than Xbox with lesser studios
4) Xbox needs to manage their current studios better to improve it's current position
