That music is so relaxing. I’ll try the XsX version of the demo later today to compare and see if I can feel that 10-15 fps difference in favor of the PS5.

Are the drops in resolution mode severe? If not, no reason to sacrifice resolution for fps, specially on a VRR screen.

Depends on how frequently it's dropping below the VRR threshold.

My 120hz display has VRR for both PS5 and SX supported but it does not do ALLM (auto low latency mode). So, for me, every time a PS5 game drops below the VRR range of 48hz, it starts juddering. Xbox's VRR range is a little more generous at 40hz so drops are less perceptible there on similar performing games.

If Resolution Mode can stick within the VRR range, it can very well be a good way to play if someone likes sharper IQ (rofif I'm looking at you).

I never noticed juddering on my VRR screen but maybe I’m not as sensitive? I’ll try it later.

On the other hand, perfomance with RT looks pretty good stable.

Yep, I think that's gonna be my preferred way. Performance mode + RT on looks almost imperceptible from Resolution mode in general play.

I'll take a higher visual fidelity + smoother performance over higher IQ an worse performance.

I don't think he is banned here. But he is known for unfair comparisons.

We all know this dude. We use it as a stepping stone until we get the better comparisons from DF and NX. Thts what I always do.

So the demo asks you to pick between Resolution and Performance, doesn't offer any explanation on what they aim to do.

Both target 60fps
There's hidden graphical options in the menu for hair and RT.

That's dumb

Devs should just stick to 30fps and 60fps modes (and VRR option if 120hz TV) and figure out the best graphical options for their game. Stop fucking around with added toggles in the menu for console games, we would get a PC if we wanted to spend time in a menu instead of actually playing the game.

that's very dumb. I hate when console games do this. Should be less modes with clear divide. not this crap that you cannot decide on without watching DF analysis. on pc you can make your own opinions, on console it is hardly possible
