Just because Sony didn't report on the sales of a peripheral doesn't mean the peripheral sold poorly. As I'v said, it sold anything between 500 and 700k units in less than 60 days. Given the whole quarter, it would probably have sold 1.5M. That's not bad at all.

I think a lot of the haters seem to have the notion that Sony expects PSVR 2 to sell at a 1:1 attach rate with the PS5 or something. It's the only explanation for their use of it as a "Gotcha!"

Gamepass has killed software for Xbox. It’s pretty much as bad of a situation as the N64 was for third party support.

Absolutely, all they do is provide a half arsed store and collect their share, they hardly make any games anymore....

If things were run properly, Sony would make their exclusives, Nintendo theirs and Steam would have to do exclusives for PC / their platform.
It shouldn't all be on Sony to provide high end games to PC...just because PC as a gaming system is a bad model to provide expensive to produce games.

Actually, it's worst than N64. For one, N64 got some big Western 3P exclusives for the day, such as the Turok series. 3P sales on N64 were also healthier in the West relative PS1 sales of multiplats, compared to what we've been seeing with Series and PS5, particularly in the UK and Europe.

Basically, for multiplats, the ratio between N64 and PS1 in the West was more balanced (tho PS1 still led) compared to Series S/X and PS5. At least that is what it would seem like. Although it's actually kind of hard to quantify because the N64 and PS1 generally didn't get much of the same 3P games and certain 3P games N64 got much later (like RE2).

Have you seen how on ResetERA they are trying to push the BS Takahashi Bloomberg article on Sony's fiscals over the actual thread with Sony's direct fiscal report? Never mind Takahashi can't analyze properly worth a shit, just goes to show the inherent bias that place has for the platform.

Only someone like Takahashi could take Sony's PS fiscals and create a doomsday scenario, and only a place like ResetERA would run with it without having an iota of critical thinking to the credibility of such a narrative.
