The thing I'm really failing to understand about Sony right now is they will sue people for reverse engineering their systems for other functions but on something like this they put absolutely no layers of protection in. It's really bizarre.

PC gamers really don’t like paying for games.
This is just the reality of human nature, if you give people an opportunity to do something like this a subsection of humanity will take advantage of it.

Console gamers are not bread of some moral superiority, If this were possible on a console platform you could expect an in step percentage of people doing the same thing.

Congratulations Sony. I'll never understand this approach.

Once again, it becomes pretty obvious why Denuvo is necessary, I hope this game flops completely on PC.

Right now it isn't even the best selling game on Steam on release day, what a complete failure. I can't believe that they think losing their exclusives for this type of return while exposing their games to piracy is worth it.

This scream bad leadership and someone at the top that isn't concern about the details of their overall plan, they just want to check a box that says "released on PC".

Denuvo butchers performance on PC, so it's a double edge sword.

You can release the game with Denuvo and risk losing Metacritic Points like DD2 or release the game without Denuvo and see it being pirated and lose sales,

But i think the caveat here is that not releasing the game with Denuvo probably doesnt impact the sales enough for Nixxes to implement it.

Who remembers when Jim Ryan tried to charge $70 for this game, after promising it'd be $60, and then being forced to walk back on it? 😂😂 That generated so much negative press for the game that it turned off a lot of people from buying it. And then the idiots put it on PS Plus after less than a year of sales 😂

This game has been set up to fail by incompetente leadership since day 1.

At this point I think the Denuvo = bad performance is FUD because most denuvo games are fine, either the dev screwed something up when it actually happens, which is rare, or people are just going off of bad rep

Plenty of games have denuvo and run perfectly fine. The notion that denuvo ruins PC performance is just a lie perpetuated by pirates. It used to be somewhat true, but hasn't been the case in years.

DD2 doesn't run poorly because of Denuvo...It's just an intensive game that can be optimized better.
