Discussion What would it take for y'all to be ok with PlayStation on PC?

The important change is that Sony wants to make money from their games rather than from their hardware. People have a deeper emotional connection to Sony's box than Sony has.

Discussion What would it take for y'all to be ok with PlayStation on PC?

What you're saying isn't simple. You're overcomplicating it. You said you would prefer to game on a powerful PC "with the largest library". So it's better for you what you actually want if there are no exclusives / all games come to PC. You mention "convenience" and "form factor", but even these...

News The FCC just quadrupled the download speed required to market internet as ‘broadband’ https://engt.co/4a5fyKw

fcc should mandate symmetrical broadband. this bullshit of downloads being 5x faster than uploads is bullshit. it promotes a vision of the internet as a one-directional, consumption-based, TV-like, passive experience.

Discussion TD Cowen analyst Doug Creutz estimates that Helldivers 2 has sold more than 8 million copies. Estimates so take with 🧂🧂

I love this game, but it is still buggy as fuck. The matchmaking/networking shit is mostly good now but many gameplay bugs remain. I played 3 rounds the other night and all 3 had some technical issue that ended the mission before extraction.

Discussion What would it take for y'all to be ok with PlayStation on PC?

blatantly false. playstation isn't proactively porting their games to PC because nobody buys them. Steam is the largest gaming platform in the world. again it doesn't matter who's running linux and who's running windows. they both play the same game library. as a user you don't have to care...

Discussion What would it take for y'all to be ok with PlayStation on PC?

It's not PC gamers. Hiroki Totoki, CEO of Sony said "in the past, the main purpose of the first party was to popularize the console". Now the strategy at Playstation is to "grow the first party with multiplatform". Of course I would like to see more games from Valve since they've made some of...

News PlayStation Portal... it ranked 5th among hardware platforms in dollar sales in limited production |UP| Sold out article & production woes.

Confusing post. What else counts as a "hardware platform"? Portal isn't even a platform. It's a PS5 peripheral.

PC Tim Sweeney emailed Gabe Newell calling Valve 'you assholes' over Steam policies, to which Valve's COO simply replied 'you mad bro?'

Yeah, I agree. Just saying "monopolies are bad" is a baby brain way to approach the issue. Especially when you're arguing in favor of another massive company crow barring a bad product onto people's computers using anti competitive tactics. Monopolies can be bad, fragmentation can also be bad...
