TLoU Part 2 haters in shambles.From the IG leak/hack :
They have over half a dozen Sony first party releases plus several 3rd party exclusives (AAAA + indie) announced for 2024. What do you expect, to release like 20 exclusives per month? They have to spread their releases to don't steal sales to the other ones.
Plus also they have to share their marketing slots between them and also hardware, accessories, their service and 3rd party games that aren't exclusive but have marketing deal or tht they consider important for some niche.

Not sure if this was far along. Feels like they just the already existing game build and engine and added a few other Spiderman to pitch it internally or to Sony.
There is much more to do.
But will not be surprised if the take in all of gaming will be „why did Sony cancel this, it was already done“
I hope the assets are at least repurchased and put to good use. Seems like such a waste otherwise
Five Spider-Man going against a bunch of street thugs don't look enticing at all. Super villains might be okay but then what's next? There's a dissonance for objective against the setting, all super villain fights would require huge set pieces making it very costly, then it is not a friendly neighborhood Spider-Mans anymore, and it requires enemies outside of SM lore as well as setting elsewhere.
