So, AMPERE had XBOX at 18.5M by the end of 2022, right?

This means that Xbox is currently at 26.1M sales. Catastrophic generation

Edit: AMPERE had apparently adjusted their estimates last year up to 19.5M, so we'd be at around 27.1M this gen.

Ps5 outselling the Xbox 3:1

At this point, why does Microsoft even bother? Just give up

Now we know why Xbox has been very aggressive with their deals in the US/UK/EU during BF and offering way more discounted Series in December compared to PS5. They're trying to get some of these boxes out.

As I was saying in another thread, that will likely result in even lower than normal sales for Xbox throughout the year.

I do t know how they will continue on the hardware side and justify huge expenditure on exclusives, even with pc.

And this one 😂 the sales will likely result in flat YoY... However, in a year where we had a "recovery" from a "supply shortage" + massive discounts... YoY decreased.

Will they even get to 50 million this generation?

And does that include all the consoles they have basically given away through internet providers etc. ?

My guess is they give a shit load of Xbox's away and hide it under "marketing".

I don't think so. They have until late 2027 / late 2028 to sell around 23M units. That's 4 or 5 years, at best, so they would need to average either around 5 or 4M per year to get there. While I don't doubt they can get 5M or so next year, they cannot get that every year for the next 4 or 5. No chance.

Thats an average of over 9 million/yr, sounds a little high for Xbox. They will still be in the console biz and ain't leaving with these kinda sales.

So my two cents why they are lagging behind because They release their games on PC but from 2022 and until now there hasn't really been any software from Msft that says ohhh I must purchase an Xbox for that game I can't wait to play it
Hi fi rush while good isn't a system seller
Starfield was that hope but it didn't turned out to be that I will say Insomniac has been the clutch for the sony family with the consistent Marvel brand games they are throwing out
