First of sll, I was just talking about a time period. I didn't need to give accurate date of when development of Bloodborne started. Also, whatever BS you believe in that developers are Octopus with 1000 arms and developing at the same is up to you. Now you will provide me with these articles where developers claims they started in 2011 when the game was probably just pencil drawing on A4 paper.
Secondly, Bloodborne selling 500k at that time in 2015 is still good ( maybe better ) when compared to Astrobot selling 1.5 million.
Also Bloodborne sold to a much smaller install base.
Not sure what you mean about Bloodborne being a meme, and I really don't know why people keep bringing Gabe's sluts to every thread.
Literally use Google. It started after Dark Souls in 2012 alongside Dark Souls 2. Anyone who was around at the time knows this, Dark Souls 2 is looked down upon within the community partly because Miyazaki was only supervising while he made Bloodborne. You are insinuating they made Bloodborne in one year after Dark Souls 2, that makes 0 sense

As far as sales go honestly idc, have fun telling yourself any and everything is a flop. Astro Bot was awesome and that’s all that really matters

I don't think im gonna try any more, the balloon ability isnt my cup of tea
It's definitely one of the less satisfying movement options.

Bit there's a few fun things you can do with it, like deflating very fast and bouncing off the ground into a jet jump.

But overall I think most of the others feel better.

No one said Astrobot is a flop. The game is very good and is way better than TLOU part 2 😊 I said Bloodborne sales were excellent when compared to Astrobot giving inflation and all other factors. You moved the subject to whe the game started development then brought in PCMR who I don't know why the in hell you brought them in.

Nonsense.

Where the hell did you get the Bloodborne sales were excellent compared to Astro Bot given inflation and all other factors from?

Astro Bot is a lower budget game with better sales in 9 weeks.

Inflation doesn’t help Bloodborne. It helps Astro Bot.

Because Bloodborne sold to 20 million PS4 owners while Astro sold to 60 million PS5 owners. 3rd of the install base.

Bloodborne budget is $30 to $40 million. So, 7 million copies could range from $120 to $180 millions. 3x to 5x its cost. It did excellent numbers.

Bloodborne came at a time where 1 to 5 million copies were the norm for single player games sales. Games nowadays are expected to be between 5 to 15 million copies.

Irrelevant. It sold less in 9 weeks and had a higher budget contrary to your nonsense.

You get those figures from Bloodborne reddit?

Most Bloodborne sales were when the game was on sale after several years. Like Days gone.

NOT full price.

It sold 7 million in total as of 2022 when a total of 117 million PS4s were on the market.

Remember it was you who decided to fall Astro Bot sales poor and compare it to Bloodborne. Which were worse.

We didn’t.

Can you share the sources for your claims? I want to check it out for myself.

Bloodborne released in March 2015.

It sold 2 million as of September 2015.

Sony games drop price generally after 6 months.

Astro Bot has sold 1.5 million in 9 weeks.

Budget

Astro Bot was developed by a team of 65 people in 4 years. It started development right after the release of Astro Playroom in 2020.

According to Sony themselves, it is not considered a major existing title.

Bloodborne was developed by 2 Teams in Fromsoftware and Japan Studios for a span of 3 years. Starting development in 2012 as Project Beast.

It was considered AAA by everyone.

You can devise from that which game had a higher budget taking inflation into consideration too.

Small Team + Low Cost (compared to most games these days) id say its pretty good and there will be a boost around Christmas for gifts also
I agree! A small team with a low budget can still produce great results. Plus, the Christmas boost will definitely help attract more players. Excited to see how it grows!

Can you share Sony as source? There was leaked data, and average price of copy sold for those games.

The issue with modern enormous budget games is that they miss fun, passion and authenticity.

These are from Sony then shared by the media.

What are you doubting? Bloodborne sales against Astro Bot or the budgets?

No one provides average price of copy sold. Generally speaking Sony games drop price after 6 months unlike Nintendo.

Bloodborne has sold 2 million in 6 months.

From September 2015 to February 2022 when the leak happened it is 7.46 million.

So 5.46 million in the next 6.5 years. With countless sales.

It is just like Days Gone which some people think was a commercial success.

Yes that is why there’s no sequel.

I am talking first year of release. Don't be ignorant. Bloodborne sold 2 millions in 6 months because there was only 16 to 25 million PS4s at that period.

I also assumed average price of <$20 for the 7 million to come up with my revenue figures.

The 35 to 40 million figure is the range of all estimates you get in the internet for the game and it's a typical figure for most games at that time.

I never claimed Astrobot number are poor. I claimed that Bloodborne figures for its time were considered relatively good or mightbe even better than Astro.

Bloodborne 2 million in 6 months.

Astro Bot was made by a team of 65 people and not considered a existing major title by Sony.

Bloodborne was developed by 2 teams and was considered a major AAA release.

Also do you think From Software did it for free? Sony just paid theIr salaries? Sony paid Kadokawa a lump sum for their services to develop it.

No way is Astro Bot a more expensive game to make.
