Don't want to enter the sales debate, just wanting to point out that the credits had ~450 more credited professionals listed, which, I guess, didn't work for free.

You could at least have compared it to Bloodborne.

Fine here is Bloodborne.

1,116 people (1,042 professional roles, 74 thanks) with 1,225 credits

Which I guess didn’t work for free either.

No need to be defensive, I said I didn't want to enter the debate, just wanted to point out that it's not 65 like you said.

He said it was made/developed by 65 people. Obviously, more people were involved if you count everything else but that's the case with every game.

Again, no need to be defensive.

He said made by 65, which is wrong. I corrected it. Nothing more, nothing less.

It was made by 65 people.

Your list includes everything from translators, marketing, Sony officials and even special thanks to family and friends etc.

I counted only the professionals (thus the ~450 more comment), excluding the special thanks.

They list people outside of their studio for arts, audio, music etc. So final number of people who made the game > 65.

You entered the debate when you commented.
I didn't even mention Bloodborne or made any comparison between the two games. If someone else said Bloodborne was made by a wrong number of people, I would've corrected them as well.

You didn’t correct anything. It was made by 65 people. By made I mean developed.

Still using your source it showed Bloodborne has more.

Ok, good to know that music, arts and audio aren't part of a game's development. Sorry, need to correct myself. It was made by less than 65 people.

Still using your source it showed Bloodborne has more.

Who fucking cares? I said I didn't want to enter the debate.

These are from Sony then shared by the media.

What are you doubting? Bloodborne sales against Astro Bot or the budgets?

No one provides average price of copy sold. Generally speaking Sony games drop price after 6 months unlike Nintendo.

Bloodborne has sold 2 million in 6 months.

From September 2015 to February 2022 when the leak happened it is 7.46 million.

So 5.46 million in the next 6.5 years. With countless sales.

It is just like Days Gone which some people think was a commercial success.

Yes that is why there’s no sequel.
You are wrong.
We got internal Sony leak with the list of average copy sold in $. Just can't find the picture. It was shared even here, few times.

A developer team having 65 professionals doesn’t mean a game was made by 65 people at all.

A lot of people work as contractor (or even from others studios behind the same parent company) one time or other during the project so that number is way higher than just the team size.

Will look for it.

Sony shared the 2 million sales in 6 months publicly.
Why do you ignore that Bloodborne was sold to 20 million people while Astrobot was sold to 60 million people?

Eventually we will know how much Astrobot cost. Bloodborne was definitely less than $40 million in 2012-2015.

Yeah! I hope there's a nice Christmas uptick for the developers! It's always nice to see a game succeeding!
Absolutely! It's always great to see developers get the recognition they deserve. Especially during the holiday season Successful games not only bring happiness to the players. But it also rewards their hard work!
