Still will never support them putting anything but GaaS games on PC..they can make exceptions for ReMakes or put Single Player games on PC when the Generation is practically over like they did at the end of PS4 era.

PS5 games should have never been ported.

Sony however is dumb as hell for prioritiziy PC over mobile. A game like Helldivers 2 would have done gangbusters on mobile as well.

They should have been focused on mobile gaming from PS3 era. That Uncharted card game was a start but limped effort.

True! While I know they didn't expect the game to blow up like this. It was still shorted to have not have a competent mobile dev working alongside Arrowhead. Just imagine how much the momentum would have snowballed on mobile as well where they could have access to hundreds of millions of players. They could have started out the Apple store and eventually Android.

But like you said still not too late. I hope they actually do some cross promo stuff too.

A Small Mistranslation of Sony's Multiplatform Plans Causes Panic Among PlayStation Fans

Following Sony's financial conference call that included statements about the PlayStation business, an official transcript published today is causing some confusion.

A mistranslated statement by Sony's CFO and COO Hiroki Totoki about PlayStation's multiplatform plans is causing unwarranted panic among some PS5 fans.

Yet, this is mostly due to the fact that, despite being from an official source, the statement is mistranslated just enough to be misleading.

Luckily, Sony also released the transcript in Japanese, which is the original language Totoki-san was speaking during the conference. The literal translation of the statement is as follows:

"Another driver is first-party titles, the growth of strong titles across multiple platforms, such as PC in addition to PS5, will lead to improved margins. I believe there is an opportunity [there], and we'd like to work aggresively to improve the margins."

It's really interesting how some people pretend not to understand why PS having games on PC, even a year later, is a terrible business strategy that only works short term.

Sony makes most of their money from their ecosystem, not their games. Their games are what makes their ecosystem attractive. If they stop providing that incentive, people move out, which means less money from micro transactions, direct game sales, and accessories.

This is so simple that a toddler could understand it, and it's something Apple has perfected a couple of decades ago. The only games that make sense are live service, and even then select ones (GT should never be on PC).

TLoU Part II is also a massive success and one of their most profitable games last gen.
